Re: Aerosmith - London + Manchester July 2020

I saw them at Wembley Arena on the Pump tour and it was great actually. I'm not sure if they still have it or not but Joe Perry was a very fine geetar slinger.

Oops yeah, I didn't mean that the way it sounded. It's just I have one or two friends in Dublin.

Re: Flying Abroad for Concerts

Not very often but I've been to Barcelona which we made in to a long weekend trip. The local underground trains were very good, so it was easy to get about the city. I guess the tip is to do your research beforehand. For the hotel, we decided on the area we wanted to stay and then used booking.com I...

Re: Amon Amarth Tour

I've been to Brixton so many times over the years and so many memories but I've never noticed it being especially cold.

Re: Faith No More UK Tour

Haven't seen them since the Real Thing tour which is far too long ago for such a great band. I'm up for London.

Re: Last Gig/Next Gig Thread

Last: Desaster/Root/Archgoat/Mork Good gig. Enjoyed Mork, Archgoat were great once the sound man found the volume dial and despite the singer having to give up on his bass towards the end, Root were like some weird black metal pantomime and Desaster were terrific. A great end to what was quite a dul...

Re: Last Gig/Next Gig Thread

I have a very similar situation with the 90s indi band Gomez. If it wasn't for Paradise Lost's heavy touring schedule, they would be my most watched band. I feel for you both. I saw Gomez a couple of times in the 90's at festivals and they were pretty dull. My good lady isn't too fussed about going...

Re: Last Gig/Next Gig Thread

Not Razorlight now That's a blessing in disguise if you ask me. Last: Fontaines D.C. last night at the Forum which was insane. I don't think I've been to a gig quite like that since Nirvana in 1991. Virtually the entire floor was a seething sea of bodies which only let up for the couple of sl...

The new Lord Mantis album is rather delicious. I don't even know what genre it falls under but I like it.

Re: Desaster/Root/Archgoat/Mork - London 01.12.19

I had to laugh. Someone posted in the facebook event group if it's ok to bring spiked gauntlets to this gig. I suspect there are going to be a few hardcore black metallers at this one. Corpse paint, the lot. What you're not coming in the full gear looking like a badger! You'll be the odd one out :l...
