My interest in ever seeing them ended when I listened to a couple of their albums back in the 80's.

Re: Strategy Board Games

Anyone into strategy board games? My wife and I have played them for years but always put off by some prices. Considering I'm not going out anywhere though I've bought some of the more expensive ones recently. I've bought: Memoir 44 Brass Birmingham Scythe 7 wonders duel Spirit Island I'd love to b...

Re: 2020 Albums

I've found two more belters in the past couple of weeks:-

Sölicitör – Spectral Devastation
Balls to the wall speed metal in the style of 80's Priest and Maiden.

Black Curse - Endless Wound
Putrid sounding death metal in the style of stuff like Autopsy.

Re: 2020 Albums

Barashi's new album Old Smoke sounds good. Black Metal with slow groovy guitar riffs. Would you call that black metal? It sounds fairly proggy to me and I can definitely hear some Mastodon influence. I like it though. It's a good day for new releases as I'm absolutely gob smacked by the new Ulcerat...

Re: 2020 Albums

The new Ripped to Shreds album is very listenable and the new Ulcerate is out on Friday. To summarise my favourite albums of 2020 so far: Blasphemer - The Sixth Hour Bütcher - 666 Goats Carry My Chariot Dark Fortress - Spectres From The Old World Graceless - Where Vultures Know Your Name Midnight - ...

The new season of Better Call Saul is excellent.

Other than that, I've just been watching old movies for the past few weeks.

Difficult to argue with that. It's a sick record.

Re: 2020 Albums

I've come to the conclusion it's my favorite since Ritual (always had a soft spot for that album). Lot of releases to go but currently AOTY for me at the moment. I think it's one half of a really good album. For me it fades during the second half but perhaps after a bit more time that will grow as ...
