Re: movies

The Lost Boys is possibly my most watched film of all time but I've never seen the two sequels. They have to be crap.

Again, watched the first Hellraiser back in the 80's, kinda enjoyed it but never seen any of the sequels.

Neither of them are as good or as cheap as showbox though.

Too much to say, and not enough time to write at the moment, but it really is incredible.
9.5/10

Blade Runner is a masterpiece.

Blade Runner 2049 tries too hard, IMO, to be a masterpiece. Good but not great. 7.5/10

Re: Computer Games Thread

Final Fantasy XV is a bit alright then. I can see why people have been griping about it (A lot of the side quests are simple go there, kill that/find that) and travel can be a bit of a pain. But so far it's beautiful world, combat is fun and fluid although I have found myself shouting "Stop dy...

Re: movies

Compare and Contrast: Point Break (1992) and Point Break (2015). As soon as the appalling reviews started to come in, I refused to watch it. Some of your words look like a lift & shift from one of the reviews I read in fact. The Keanu/Swayze version is one of my all time favourite films s...

Re: movies

I feel kind of similar about Room. Fantastic until what I'm going to call the 3rd act, where they adapt to life outside. I just felt it got really boring and meandering and like it didn't know where to go anymore or really where to end. I think I was basically hoping for a life is wodnerful/look at...

Re: Computer Games Thread

So I bought Skyrim on offer around Black Friday thinking I won't enjoy this. I have been hooked from the outset, but I had got the cheap version of the game no dlc preparing for the worst. So I just bought Skyrim Special Edition, nowhere near completing the game and I understand this comes with the...

Re: Computer Games Thread

refused to buy them at full price on release. Yeah snap! I hardly ever pay full price for new releases. There are too many other great games to play anyway. I've just finished playing/walking through Everybody's Gone to the Rapture. Less of a game, more of an interactive story but very engagi...

Re: Computer Games Thread

It only took me about 15 minutes to adjust and it was a lot easier when I switched the controls to alternative. The original setting mode was fucked up. I kept turning and running straight in to danger as originally left or right had to be from the perspective of the character, not necessarily from ...

Re: Computer Games Thread

Last Guardian was fucking awful! They used camera angles from the PS1/PS2 era and it makes the game unplayable. Half the time you can't see yourself as the camera angles are atrocious and then you've got Trico taking up most of the screen as well! I give up with it after a couple of hours as it was...

Re: Computer Games Thread

Bioshock "remaster"... lol. But hey, it's Bioshock again! Also been playing the open beta of Paladins. It's basically Overwatch, but with some MOBA-ish vibes with items and upgrades. It also works a bit differently where any team can push the payload, there doesn't seem to be set offense ...
