On a personal level I'd be disappointed as not really my thing, but realistically they would be a good booking and probably about the right size.

I thought a chap on here said they spoke to him and said they were playing? :?

Re: Sophie stage headliners

That would be my thought, although having seen the band without pyros on several occasions I can say it doesn't actually take much away from the experience. The songs stand up for themselves incredibly well.

Re: Sunday Special Guest

I'd replace Devils Thunder with Thornography but generally I agree with that. Could easily make a compilation CD with a best of their latter stuff and enjoy it. But it's been a long while since a solid album came out. That said, I saw them on the tour with Rotting Christ and they mainly stuck to the...

Re: Sophie stage headliners

I think it would be about right actually, and worth it for them to get a full hour set (although no idea on the rules about pyro on the Sophie stage).

Does one man and a laptop count as playing live anyway?

Re: Sunday Special Guest

Dan has no issue with coming back and even said so at the time. Whilst an unfortunate incident, one person does not represent a festival crowd and naturally they wouldn't expect a repeat of the incident. Also remember now we are getting in a different type of fan, if Machine Head, Lamb Of God and Ha...

Re: Sophie stage headliners

Devilment, Hell and Tyr to headline the Sophie stage would make me happy and the bands are probably about the right size.

Re: Sunday Special Guest

Not sure about Cradle Of Filth, but I would assume with Arch Enemy's recent fan revival that Download will snag them. I personally would go for either Cradle Of Filth, Behemoth or Blind Guardian as decent shouts.

Re: Next announcement

Headliners are bollocks but really liking the lower bands this year, all it's gonna need is some decent Sophie headliners and on a what I which level, could be the best line up in ages.

Re: The Headliner Prediction Thread

Would have thought any SYL reunion in its first year would go to Download anyway?

Re: Rumours

Unfortunately I'd say My Dying Bride would be main stage as they are probably a little too big for Sophie. Which is a shame as they would be stunning headlining the Sophie stage.

Bloodbath I'd say are fairly likely, probably playing about the same place they did last time.

Not "true" rumours as such, but Bloodbath and My Dying Bride are both doing festival tours this year.

Perturbator in the Sophie tent would make me very happy indeed!
