Re: Download Festival 2020

I'm not so bothered by the prospect of missing Killswitch as I saw them four times with Maiden in 2018 and once last year. I've seen Sepultura less often and I wouldn't mind briefly revisiting my teenage years and seeing Funeral For A Friend's set too. :shy: Pretty much the appeal of the Sunday for...

Re: worst band on the lineup ?

Has to be Hatebreed. I don't dislike them anymore than other bands I don't care for on the bill, but they have played so often it's a bit silly really.

Re: Next Announcement

I do love PL but they really aren’t big enough for that position on the bill. Something must have gone wrong for the bookers.

Re: Next Announcement

Sunday headliner next year will be Evanescence I also expect Bodycount,Code Orange, Dog Eat Dog and Evil Scarecrow I would like to think I am joking Well, I think your right in your implication. That could well be in the lineup now. It would probably run along with other better (from my point of vi...

Re: Next Announcement

I like the headliners still, but that is, for me, the weakest undercard they have had. Sunday only for me, if that. There is either a money issue, or a band availability problem; or a straight up choice to go in a slightly different direction with booking imo. (Maybe they're just testing the water f...

It would be good to see the fest give this type of band a shot.

Re: Next Announcement

I still love the forum. People on here are (usually) way more intelligent than your average social media poster.

I'm really hoping Iced Earth are announced.

Re: The Health 'n' Fitness Thread

Isn't that what happened to Dave Mustaine a few years back, only a lot worse?

Re: Last gig ticket you bought?

Just got a standing ticket for Slipknot/Bohemoth in Newcastle as there have been extra tickets released. So, have a look if you want some!

Re: Next Announcement

Unleash the Archers, that’s the only big draw for me. It’s looking like a Sunday ticket only for me.

Re: Next Announcement

They're also doing an Italian festival called Rock the Castle in July. Big chance they'll do all of Europe but Vicky will forget about Saxon for Bloodstock. :P I like Saxon but am I the only one hoping they aren't playing? Would rather someone else myself Very much not. Band themselves have never c...

Re: 2020 Albums

New Demons and Wizards is the only one with a date that I have my eye on, but I will be hoping for a new Nightwish, Satyricon and the (understandably) long overdue My Dying Bride. Dance of death has to be the worst artwork by a major band ever. The actual artists version was minimal, but technically...

Re: Next Announcement

I think they are saving the budget for next year. Mötley Crüe, (the reaction to MC on the FB Live was interesting) or something else that would push the economics of the thing.
