Re: What has made you happy today

I've met a rather awesone young lady. And she wants to see me again.

This is an unexpected development. ;)

Re: A free-for-all thread

They've put the audio horror that is Heart back on the radio at work which not only plays twice as many Christmas songs as Radio 1 but also has irritating Christmas adverts every 5 seconds. And Bruno Mars. I FUCKING HATE BRUNO MARS. Don't Heart play the same five songs on a loop all day? Only pausi...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

So I'm watching Crawley vs Bristol Rovers, FA Cup replay on BT Sport. Seriously, how is the match still going? The ball is barely moving. Surely the ref has to call the game off at this rate... ...and so he did! About time, too. I'd have called it off at half time, frankly. Every tackle in th...

Re: movies

Just watched a Hallmark Frankenstein adaptation called "The Creature" with my year 11 GCSE class, with Luke Goss playing the monster and the guy who played the old headmaster on Waterloo Road as Victor. Not a bad effort actually. Certainly more accurate to the book than whatever the hell t...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

I'll take on the job. Can't be that hard, can it? Just like Football Manager 2014 surely... :P I think that's part of the problem. Rich owners playing Fantasy Football who think they can do better than the manager. They splash the cash and buy players and if it doesn't work out then the manager get...

AVB goes, Gianfranco Zola resigns, Yeovil are undefeated in four games. Football's gone mad!

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

In other news, Yeovil have signed Everton's Shane Duffy on loan. That's a pretty awesome signing. As a Yeovil and Everton fan I don't really know how to take this.

Re: A free-for-all thread

So I am now makeshift librarian, alongside my teaching duties. It's a long haul having to balance the two for essentially no pay rise but it's part of the job. They gave you extra work and aren't paying you extra? I'd have told them to fuck off  It isn't really extra work. I'm just expec...

Re: Last Gig/Next Gig Thread

Martyr Defiled in Yeovil next month, 17th I think. Will be awesome to see them. I checked them out when I was younger and they were an upcoming band, and now they're making it much more. This gig is sort of a homecoming cos I think of them were based in Yeovil previously. Will be a nice, intimate gi...

I watched Ballistic: Ecks Vs Sever last night. It was truly dreadful. Banderas tried his best to take is seriously, bless him, but it wasn't to be.
