Re: KK Downing forms glorified Judas Priest tribute band

someone else wrote:Could be good - KK can still play and the band look OK. They'll do an album, play 2 songs from it, rest all Priest, and no doubt destined to play the 'Kings of Rock' type Butlins gigs with The Sweet, Manfred Man, Quireboys etc.

Fully expect them to headline Hard Rock Hell 2021

Not really. Current Priest has Halford, Travis & Hill who are all more established Priest members than anyone in KK's band (with the exception of KK himself obviously)

Re: Next Announcement

I think someone else said this too. Friday is a good day, Saturday starts off crap but then gets better, Sunday... yeah... do not care. That's pretty much the opposite of me. There are literally no main stage bands I want to see on Friday or Saturday. There are a few on Sunday though. Me too. Those...

Re: Hammerfest 13

I mean I'm assuming Unleashed and Lordi are headliners, which might not be true, seem a lot smaller than other years, coupled with moving to a different venue without anywhere to stay. Erm. It's Birmingham.... Loads of accommodation of virtually every type imaginable from cheap hotels or apartments...

Re: Hammerfest 13

I like Lordi so far but that's about it. Seems like it isn't just Bloodstock struggling to book people, everyone's downsizing . Shame, as Birmingham definitely doesn't have the same vibe as a holiday camp. Really? Doesn't seem that different from previous line ups tbh Yeah, seems pretty standard fo...

Re: Hammerfest 13

Just seen the first set of bands announced for this - Lordi, Unleashed, Raging Speedhorn, Blaze Bayley and then the usual load of nobodies. Doesn't exactly create much excitement. Maybe they've realised how awful that new venue in Yarmouth is. We went to HRH in November there and it was so bad it pu...

Re: Last Gig/Next Gig Thread

Last gig - Rhapsody of Fire @ Rebellion in Manchester Caught both support bands (Collibus and Dendera) who were both instantly forgettable and very bland. Rhapsody of Fire however were on top form and after initially thinking it was going to be a rather sparse crowd, the venue filled up a bit more f...

Re: Next Announcement

What made you buy a ticket in the first place? This is quite possibly the worst BOA line up there's ever been.... and I'm including the times it was a 1.5 day fest in 2005 and 2006. If looking for something else to do during the same weekend, the best festival in Europe just happens to be taking pl...
