Re: No more Evil Scarecrow

They're fun and they're going to get booked every other year, get used to it  Although despite the huge crowd they draw it's hard to see them getting much, if any higher up the billing, band politics wouldn't allow it unless the slots below are going to be filled by pub bands! I hope the band t...

Re: BOA 2016 rate the bands you saw

Chose to only do the Friday this year due to how bad the Saturday was for me, please don't let that happen again! :D 7/10 Fury - Always solid and a decent start for me. 6/10 Gloryhammer - Fun but the sound wasn't great for them. 7/10 Evil Scarecrow - The perfect festival party band, huge crowd again...

Re: How many more bands?

To answer the question "How many more bands?". It might seem controversial to some, but in my opinion there are simply too many bands. I would prefer it if they concentrated on quality over quantity. To play devil's advocate, if they went for quality over quantity what happens if they boo...

Oh dear. They haven't won the Reading M2TM in the past and frankly I'd say it was because they simply weren't good enough.

Well I just listened to them earlier and they're definitely not good.

Re: How many more bands?

Just noticed that Metal Hammer have announced the rest of the Metal 2 The Masses bands, which I've noticed hasn't got all the bands people have mentioned as winning/qualifying so I guess there will still be a Jagermeister stage; I was starting to wonder. It's got: End of Salvation Redeye Revival Reg...

There are also members of another 3 bands I picked playing (Motorhead, Testament & Death Angel) so I demand a change in the way this is scored

Thursday night

Would I be right in assuming that you'd need a weekend ticket to get access to the arena on the Thursday night or is it more of a freebie night that you could get in with just a day ticket? The Saturday line up is so horrendous I've practically talked myself into only going for the Friday, but I'd s...

"You never know who’ll show up on stage at a METAL ALLEGIANCE show, but the line-up confirmed so far includes Testament’s Alex Skolnick, Death Angel’s Mark Osegueda, Anthrax’s Scott Ian & Charlie Benante, Russell Allen from Symphony X, Gary Holt from Slayer & Exodus, Mike Portnoy of Twi...

Re: Next Announcement Thread

If it's this week I'm calling Black Dahlia Murder. Just noticed that the lineup page has changed so Dragonforce are now on Sunday (above Satyricon as well) and Rotting Christ aren't there at all. Rotting Christ probably looked at the rest of Saturday's lineup and thought, nah, we're not going to bo...

That'll teach me to pay more attention, after glimpsing through the announced bands I actually thought it was Sacred Reich and not Acid Reign!

I'm with you, though, would definitely trade those 3 for Sacred Reich.

Re: Bloodstock 2016 rumours

It doesn't look like we'll get Sacred Reich. On the Sacred Reich community page on Facebook they posted an update confirming themselves for the Metaldays festival, someone asked if there was any gigs in London lined up. They replied saying 'Nothing in the UK this time'. Of course, that could change...

Re: Next Announcement Thread

I reckon third from top on Saturday is still available. Maybe even Friday too depending on where Venom end up I think Paradise Lost and Venom were announced as special guests which would make them 3rd, could be wrong though. The special guest slots are the second bands, so Gojira, Anthrax and I thi...
