I think it's alright, not really grabbed me yet, but it has potential...although now I know it is the only reason the 24 movie isn't being made yet, I find it difficult to want to it to succeed.

Re: TV: Current and Recent

Sons of Anarchy has bren renewed up to at least season 7. I was hoping season 5 would be a fitting end to the show but obviously the writer has something planned. Dexter finally makes its UK showing tonight. There are a lot of changes in the opening episode. I hope they are explained properly and i...

Re: movies

I just don't see how they can convey the sheer fucked-up moments of the Hunger Games with a 12A certificate... the bit where one of the girls die was absolutely digusting. that said, it looks as though it'll be less Katniss's inner monologue (thank god, "i hid in a tree" is NOT compelling...

Re: movies

So John Carter is predicted to become the biggest flop in cinema history...with Disney expecting to lose $200 million...can't say I'm surprised. Looking forward to seeing what all the fuss/anti-fuss is about on the weekend, will prob see Hunger Games straight after to give myself some hope to cling ...

Re: movies

Saw 'We Bought a Zoo' on saturday. I thought it was great. Yes it had all the standard plot points, and it was predictable, but it was a nice warm fuzzy film.

Re: movies

An accidental Tom Hardy fest this week. This Means War...a man friendly chick flick. I actually really enjoyed it, overall predictable and silly. It's not going to win any awards, but it was well cast and well scripted. Quite a few real laugh out loud moments, something I rarely find in mainstream c...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

Alcatraz was very interesting, a good premise and plot and could go in many directions. However, it screamed 'i was made by the guys behind Lost and Fringe' so Im hoping its not a very long winded show like either of those. 9 Episodes in and it is very similar to Lost and Fringe. There is a baddie ...

Re: Computer Games Thread

apparently game could be shut on saturday :( say what you want about game, it cant be good for the industry at all. the next best thing we have really is HMV or blockbuster, and HMV overcharge for everything. i blame the supermarkets, they actually sell games at a loss just to get people in the sho...

Re: movies

The 3rd MiB3 trailer looks good. plenty of new footage and more about the story. as long as it isn't as bad as the 2nd film I'll be happy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=119Gn8a6eiw Everyone involved has admitted that the 2nd film was shit, and claim this one is going to be as good as the first on...

Re: What pissed you off today

There was an article posted, think it was on BBC somewhere, that was criticising GPs use of Antibiotics. They have a habit of dishing them out for for too many problems that they are not best suited to, rather than telling people to 'let the illness run it's course' and peoples over reliance and ove...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-5ANq4sAL0 Anyone else thinking this looks awesome? I'm actually surprised by how much attention it's getting, but yes, it looks awesome! About 3 quarters of the way through the book now, as I wanted to read it first, and it is very enjoyable...despite being very sim...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

House started back last week...disappointed that it's gonna be over after season 8, but I think it's good to finish while it's still good rather than dragging it out. Last episode of Hustle was awesome, and I really am gonna miss it. We're a few episodes into Homeland, and this is shaping up to be a...
