Re: Next Announcement

It seems most people are predicting BMTH or Architects or whatever pony is being trotted out as metal apparently these days. But going with something else, given the current line-up, if it now had to be all UK-only, that chops a significant amount of bands from the roster, does it not? I mean, if I...

Re: Next Announcement

I think it was a bit inevitable we'd see a few changes, though it would be nice if they offer refunds for those that don't want to go in the end. Mercyful Fate were the main reason I brought a ticket, although after so long without a gig I will probably go either way as long as the lineup isn't comp...

Re: Next Announcement

It seems like it won't be so much a limit on the numbers that will be the issue (I imagine it'll either be full capacity or cancelled), but which bands are actually able to come over. Have we had anything from other countries, "roadmaps" similar to ours? l

Re: Next Announcement

So...any news on whether we're getting an actual lineup or is it just UK bands? Can we get bands coming in?

Re: Next Announcement

Supposedly the government are saying that every adult in the UK will have their first jab by the end of July, which surely bodes well for Bloodstock if true. Doesn't necessarily mean much though, especially if travel corridors aren't open by then.

Re: So much for Iced Earth...

With any luck being inside will get him to sort his head out and he comes out not an arsehole. That's what I hope too. I kinda feel sorry for a lot of them. There's been a real new kind of crazy in the U.S. all lead astray by a leader that's not be held accountable for his actions thanks to 43 real...

Re: 2021 albums

Steven Wilson - I knew this was going to be a different album for him and a lot 'poppier' and on first listen, that is the case. A couple of decent tracks, but most of the rest doesnt grab me yet. I'm not on of the fans that is calling him every name under the sun, but this one likely isnt for me. ...

Re: Next Announcement

Personally I think Bloodstock should start looking into the possibility of a reduced-capacity, one-day (or at least, no camping) event on the same grounds, with social distancing enforcement an option if needed. Probably only British bands, perhaps only one stage, and certainly limited traders or ot...

Re: So much for Iced Earth...

Since this all kicked off I've been rediscovering Iced Earth in a major way. This certainly won't put me off listening to the band's music - hell, if that kind of thing did, noone would ever listen to some black metal bands again. Considering they haven't toured over here in years, this is best thin...

Re: So much for Iced Earth...

People are afraid trump will become totalitarian. I don't think he will/can, and he has never actually broken the law. Though he woul probably brake the law if he could get away with it, he won't because, unlike the real facist despots, he will lose the vast majority of his supporters. Therfore, ca...

Re: So much for Iced Earth...

Just a few points: Keynesian economics Is facist -Trump does not go for that. Not at all. He’s protectionist free market all the way. Expansion through war is facist - Trump has started less international conflict than any president in my lifetime. Anti-democratic policies are facist - I think Trum...
