Re: A free-for-all thread
Just read this article on people who cued under a bridge in London for 2 days just to get a wristband to be allowed to buy a pair of trainers designed by Kanye West. I don't know if I'm bemused or just totally despairing of people. I understand why some would cue for stuff like this, but really, if...

Re: The Book thread
Finished The Children of Men last night. It's bugger all like the film, I'd say Children of Men actually did a far better job of fleshing out the world than the book did, changing some pretty significant plot points. The book is a real slow boiler that eventually just doesn't pay off very well.

Re: What has made you happy today
I use some Nivea Aftershave Balm on my beard. Keeps the ichiness down in the early stages and keeps it soft. I also shampoo it when I have a shower everyday. Good idea, I've foolishly been putting Head and Shoulders in it thinking that'd stop the itch before realising it's just drying my face out t...

Re: What has made you happy today
Attempting my first full beard until I can bag a job interview as way of keeping myself occupied, week 1, considerable growth, itchiness has subsided. This pleases me.

Insomnia, thought I was over this shit by now, it's not like I'm stressing over anything anymore either.

Speaking of which Last.fm also appear to have been hacked this week as well as LinkedIn. I guess that's kind of freaking me out as I'm running out of ideas for password changes if anything else gets hacked in the next day or so...

Not sure if anyone is aware but Ray Bradbury died aged 91 yesterday.

I read Fahrenheit 451 last summer, it's one of those books that everyone should read at some point I think.

Re: Computer Games Thread
ZombieU looked pretty decent imo. The graphics weren't up to much, I expected a bit better really, this being the first thing I'd seen that was built for the WiiU but the gameplay looks really interesting, closest thing in gaming to what it'd probably be like trying to survive in a zombie movie. htt...

Re: What pissed you off today
In that the stories are not 'the same'. Our man Graeme here believes the books have been raped of all their complexity and depth for the sake of a simpler storyline for a simpler audience and more boobs. But he's ok with the boobs. Is that about right? I get ya, everyone I know who has read t...

Finally my Dark Elf might be able to hold his own up close and personal as a proper vampire. I haven't been able to take on a dragon mano a mano yet as I've used nothing but bows. Accidentally saved over my old character, not chuffed about that one. Best use the Ogfma Infinium glitch before I get th...

Re: What pissed you off today
Why should I have to read the books? Why should I have to put up with some cunt ruining my enjoyment of something, and personally I'd rather read books that aren't likely to be adapted into TV or cinema at any point soon. Edit: even if I did happen to be reading book 2 instead of watching season 2 o...
