Just realised that, from the characters point of view, there's not much reason to do anything other than ignore all side-quests and just run straight to New Vegas.

Or just not really do anything, he seems really too bothered about his pretty crappy-paid job.

I played New Vegas for some friends the other day.

The words "it's a very pretty game" were uttered just at the moment I turned round to find a cow clipping through a fence. It was a pretty deep moment.
