Re: The Relationships Thread

My best mate, arguably a man whose approval I seek because I have such low self esteem I need the approval of my peers 8) , has just had a go at me because I've not tried internet dating. All because I told him that I do, at times, feel a bit lonely and shit and whilst I am fine being single ...

Re: What has made you happy today

Sprucing up my CV and I've found a couple of jobs to apply for in York :D

EDIT: Found a job in York that combines legal skills and an interest/knowledge of horses. It's actually perfect. Application submitted! :D

Re: What pissed you off today

Lunch hour and I'm not allowed to eat as I'm having a US scan this afternoon.

Everything I can smell is 1) food and 2) smells gorgeous.

Argh

Re: The Relationships Thread

Between this and the Forever Alone thread, I’m really starting to wonder about the kind of girls you’re used to meeting Jage :|

Re: Computer Games Thread

I can now never play that game after watching Alex try and beat a particular level several times. So many times in fact that I can still recite what Mr Russian says at the beginning.

"I know you will make our Motherland proud, the future of Lenin's Metro is in your hands!"

Re: The Relationships Thread

If I went on a first date to the cinema, I'd be pissed. Sitting in the dark for two hours with another 100 people while trying to get my funk on IN SILENCE is not my idea of fun. If you need to have an activity to let the conversation flow, I'd suggest there was something a bit wrong going on. Yep....

Re: What has made you happy today

Gorgeous wedding reception last night. I got to talk to some people we don't see very often and met lots of lovely new people (well new to me anyway). Ended the night in the foyer with one of Alex's oldest friends cuddling me and telling me the really lovely things he and his fiance think of me and ...

Re: What's upset you?

I'm not hugely upset, because he seems happy and relatively healthy, but I just got to my dad's house to find that the cat has had a stroke in the past couple of weeks, confirmed by the vet. His face is lopsided, and it's clear he doesn't hear or see out of his left ear and eye. I would have liked ...

Re: A free-for-all thread

It put me at about 12% - I suspect that's a bit low but I don't carry a lot of fat at the best of times, and I've just shed about a stone through illness. It might be accurate.

Where's the goddamn cake?!

Re: A free-for-all thread

http://www.healthyforms.com/helpful-tools/body-fat-percentage.php There you go, waist measurement based body fat percentage calculation. There's a more accurate one I've seen before with waist, hips, forearm, wrist and chest in there too but I'm struggling to find it now. Nothing's going to be as ac...

Re: A free-for-all thread

Somalia, apparently. BMI of 20.

A point though - if you were massively over or underweight, I doubt you'd need your BMI reading to tell you that you had a problem :P

Re: The Book thread

expected to hate it like the rest of the books we had to read, but it was one of the few i enjoyed. Did anybody else find that? You as a general rule didn't enjoy things you had to read, but then if you read them afterwards they were a lot better? Exceptions for me included most of the Shakespeare ...

Re: What pissed you off today

Episodes of sudden uncontrollable trembling are not cool at the best of times. Having one right in the middle of a meeting with your boss is just plain unfair.

Pack it in body! :x
