Have you seen Eastern Promises? It`s the film Cronenberg made after AHoV and I prefer it...seems to be a somewhat forgotten gem IMO.

Re: movies

Just watched `La Horde`, a French zombie film. Pretty good, sagged in the middle a bit and some of the violence was a bit cartoony but definitely worth a watch.

Re: movies

well the one part i hated is about half way into the film and there is just half n hour of them just doing normal things like eating and talking about rubbish. it kind of dulled the last 30 minutes where it all started to happen. i wont deny it is a good film but i wouldnt go as far as calling it a...

Re: movies

I watched that last night, the Wayans Bros are adamaent it isn't a religious movie, but i have no idea how you can interpret as anything but really , clever twist at the end mind you , I guess it did show both sides of religion good and bad , especially in Eli when he is that obsessed with his miss...

Re: movies

Ok so at first I was like "yeahh! Buut can he pull off the quirky hyper awesomeness of the lead?" about Michael Cera. BUT THE NEW SCOTT PILGRIM TRAILER JUST MADE ME SO HAPPY I CAN'T EVEN THINK OF ANYTHING IN LIFE THAT WILL BE BETTER. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NUBVcit5VM Shit, I thin...

Re: movies

Re-animator is a fantastic film, something of a classic IMO. No love for Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue anywhere?

Re: movies

Genuinely good zombie films are hard to come by IMO, the last one I rated highly was Rec. There`s a French film called The Horde which has been getting an incredible amount of buzz lately. It was shown at horror film festivals last year and I think it`s just been released in France...not sure when w...

Re: movies

Last night i watched Thirst, which i think was Korean, found it very dull. So dull that i nearly nodded off a few times. :coffee: I'm waiting for Rec 2 to come out, really enjoyed the 1st one. Thirst was appalling, I switched it off just over halfway through. Rec 2 is getting a cinema release over ...

Re: movies

I used to watch a load of X rated horror films as a 12-13 year old...Evil Dead, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Zombie Flesh Eaters...all that stuff that caused a hoo-ha in the mid 80`s. I`m as non violent and laid back a person as you could wish to meet. I`ve never felt the urge to rape, kill, eat or muti...

Re: movies

finally watched the Hurt Locker couple days ago what an overrated film... how did that win all those awards, when a brilliant film like District 9 was overlooked the scene when jeremy renner disarms his first bomb seemed completely filler as it was almost exactly the same as the next scene just sli...

Re: movies

I watched Iron Man 2 today, enjoyed it although it drags a bit in the middle. Didn`t think it was good as the first although the last 20 minutes are superb...and I was geeky enough to sit through the credits for 10 minutes!
