Re: A free-for-all thread
A friend of mine wants me have a go at being a DJ at the uni's alternative nights. I'd like to have a go but they usually only play mainstream stuff and I'd be far too tempted to go off and try and educate the masses  I DJ'd at mine for a bit. Used it as an opportunity to play obscure (well, o...

Re: What's freaking you out?
Took a glug of water, felt something hard in my mouth. Managed to push it to in front of my teeth to get it out and see what it was, turned out to be a dead woodlouse. Not really 'freaked out' as such, although I keep on feeling it in my mouth haha.

Re: The Womens Thread: Discussions about ham wallets
I used to not care what I looked like at festivals. Then I got so fucking sick of people commenting on my 'sunburnt nose' (its rosacea you bastards!) that I decided to start wearing makeup, and I actually found I enjoyed myself that little bit more, feeling pretty and good about myself. Wearing nice...

Re: What pissed you off today
Just found out some scumbag(s) swiped my Granny's handbag whilst she was at the supermarket on Friday night. Sainsburys went through CCTV footage but couldn't find anything - apparently there's some blank spots the cameras can't reach, so it must have happened there. Ugh, I can't believe how shitty...

Found out the guy that sells Big Issue outside Waitrose died of a heart attack a month or so ago I did wonder where he was. He's been selling Big Issue there for so many years, would always say hello with a smile on his face. Feels so weird thinking he's never going to be stood there again.

I've decided to stick around York for an extra day after my friend's wedding. Sent a text out to a load of people, only a few bothered replying, and no one's said they're definitely going to be around. Feels pretty shit like, considering I've not managed to get up to York to see them since November.

Re: The Womens Thread: Discussions about ham wallets
I agree that Charity shops are worth looking in. Like most things you get days of treasures and days of junk. I tend to walk to a 'posh' area and have a look in there first , although to be honest I have found treasures in all. I was also really impressed when I went to a bootsale with my Nana as t...

h&m then, the staff are always rubbish and you queue ages but some stuff there is ok! eta: failing that i guess risking it on ebay is always an option :/ I just had a look on their site, nothing there really appeals to me. Cheers anyway though :) There is actually some really pretty stuff on eb...

Related to periods - https://www.change.org/en-CA/petitions/procter-gamble-to-fully-disclose-the-ingredients-of-their-tampons-sanitary-pads this is worth signing. Maybe if people were aware of what goes into sanitary products they'd be more likely to choose natural, organic pads and tampons, meaning...

Managed to do 40 squats in 4 minutes last night. I surprise myself! 30 day squat challenge now seems a lot less daunting. Legs are a bit sore today though

I was going to say yes, then I saw that day 1 is 50! I'd struggle with even that amount, aghh. I'm so unfit it's ridiculous
edit: sod it, I'll give it a go anyway!
