Re: Computer Games Thread

So, deciding on the edition of AC5 to pre-order - they have 6 versions to choose from, 7 if you include the Amazon exclusive which ships with a pocket watch . Argh. http://weknowmemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/shut-up-and-take-my-money.jpg It's pretty nice actually, but Charley got me an unoff...

Re: A free-for-all thread

Sorry bud. Obviously you are in the less often posters category of said list. I think basically I miss 2008/09 I think that seemed like a 'golden age' for this forum. You are forgiven :P I agree with the sentiment though, 2008/09 was the best time for these forums - which is mainly why I rarely pos...

I basically miss the people who did the last Gathering of the Clans. All of which either don't post, or post a lot more infrequently than they used to. Gumpy Rich Prometherion Olly (who did come back with a different name for a while) twilightoftheidols Andy Agent Orange Dan Motar Amarth Charley Jo...

Re: Computer Games Thread

Started ACIII tonight. So far so good. Took the time out to play the board games which were pretty cool, yet easy to understand and ultimately win. Just got off the boat so I really am not far. Another stupid batch of MP achievements up for grabs if I was inclined to purchase a Uplay or whatever it...

For PS2 games I assume? Because all PS3's are backwards compatible with PS1 games.

Re: What Blew Your Mind Today?

Went the same way as white dog poo. One day it's everywhere, the next.. nope. I KNOW WHY THERE ISN'T ANY WHITE DOG POO THESE DAYS. There was an additive in dog food that turned poo white that isn't put in dog food any more because it's dangerous or something. Yep. Ground up bone for the extra calci...

The coil doesn't stop periods?

EDIT: Or rather, it can, but as a side effect and if you're lucky.

Re: Trivial Grumblings

Do contactless payments involve typing your PIN on a machine or are they literally swipe and go? Because that seems pretty horrendous fraud wise, USA has tonnes of fraud issues due to no chip and PIN As said before, wave and go. There is a limit of £20 per transaction, and you're also supposed to r...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

I still prefer cash, but many younger people seem to want to pay everything on cards. I saw somebody pay for a 25p can of Coke with a card last week. WTF? In all fairness, I very rarely carry cash on me these days other than maybe the odd note. I use my credit card for absolutely everything as I ge...

They are not eligible for a grant.

Next suggestion?
