Re: 2021 albums
The new Aspyhx album is really good. I'm not easily impressed by death metal nowadays but this ticked the boxes. Frozen Soul is pretty decent, Therion is boring, Dragony mediocre, Nervosa nothing I haven't heard a million times before and Wardruna ok if I'm in the mood for it. Here completes my rev...

I wouldn't go this year. This disease does appear to be seasonal though so bloodstock might not be a big risk of catching it.

Re: Guess what date gigs will be back to normal (no social distancing)
The cancellations feel more depressing this year than last. Doesn't feel like the end is in sight much. I have enjoyed the lockdowns because I'm anti social but I'd still like a gig haa haa. All the talk of different variants makes gigs etc feel a long way away. Still feels mental I was Abbath a yea...

There's a lot of utter trash on that album but Waterloo and the Gettysburg trilogy are brilliant imo.

Re: 2021 albums
Nothing ground breaking but Heretical Sect's album Rapturous Flesh Consumed is a great black metal album.

A return to the earth below is a fantastic song but the rest of the album didn't grab me. Maybe the brilliance of that song over shadowed the rest of the songs.

Where's all the jokey metal at?
I guess I'm not looking out for it but when I was growing up there were bands like S.O.D, M.O.D, Bomb Disneyland, Dr and the Crippens, Macabre, Electro Hippies and Lard. Can't think of any bands now other than Pirate metal which I don't like. Obviously Macabre are still going.

Re: 2021 albums
The tracks I've heard from the Irish band Dread Sovereign new album sound fantastic. Album is coming out on Metal Blade soon called Alchemical Warfare. They're described as Doom metal. They are more in the faster heavy metal style though rather than the one note a minute style. https://www.youtube.c...

Re: Strategy Board Games
Probably too geeky for you cool kids but I totally recommend solo board gaming whilst listening to music. I can't just sit listening to music without doing something else so playing a solo game at the same time is perfect for me. Currently playing the games Aerion and marvel champions.
