Re: The Book thread

Forge of Darkness - Steven Erikson. The first in the prequel Kharkanas trilogy. Published within a year of the last Malazan book - this from an author who said he "needed a break." Sorry Alex, but were he unmarried and I single, I'd probably willingly have his children. Good God can this m...

Re: What has made you happy today

Started packing for BOA last night (I know, stupidly early) - I always feel more excited when I've started to sort the packing out :)

Re: The Relationships Thread

Re: What Blew Your Mind Today?

Yep, but the person who kept those rats I've spent time with has also kept them for years and said that females not being smelly was the norm, so it's not unreasonable that I'd respect her opinion on it and take it for fact. She's a qualified animal behaviourist so I listen to everything she says ab...

Re: What Blew Your Mind Today?

And only male rats smell apparently. Correct. They smell worse the younger they are, but female rates don't tend to smell at all. A bit like humans then, really   Lis and Rich - I did say "tend" not to smell. The couple I've known never smelled at all so I assumed that was the n...

Re: What pissed you off today

60 seconds late to the pub last night and I got told off! 60 fucking seconds. I turned at 7.31 instead of 7.30 and I should have rang ahead to let her know I would be late. WTF. Seriously if I was 60 seconds late to my bloody job my boss wouldn't give a shit, even if she's actually noticed. Fuck it...

Haven't been there in YEARS. Loved the huge indoor ballpit/padded climbing thingy.

Last time I was there was about three years ago I think. Rides are awesome, not so bothered about the zoo bit.

Most snakes available in pet shops and such are corn snakes - it'd still hurt if one bit you, but they're pretty harmless :)
