Re: Next Announcement

People do need to settle down a little. We still have to be announced: 2 headliners 3 special guests 3 second stage headliners 2 of the third place spots (assuming Skindred are one) So the bulk of the big hitters still to be announced. So far its only really Devin and Gloryhammer for me, so dont get...

They've said in numerous presses that they're celebrating 20 years of Bloodstock in 2020.

Those two sentences don't mean the same thing.

Oh not this shit again

Devin Townsend
Meshuggah

Lamb of God
Skindred

Megadeth
Testament

Is what I'm expecting.

Skindred wont be Special Guests, Bloodstock always mention when bands are in the announcement. Third down is looking likely though

Hopefully that's the non Metal headliner out of the way. But I have a nasty feeling they'll book that awful Volbeat band as well...

Re: Next Announcement

I believe the tour in December is close to selling out. Coupled with the fact that it sounds like the shows will be completely different, it shouldnt affect sales too much I reckon

Re: Next Announcement

Guaranteed at least a day ticket for me now, not missing this. Love all Devin's stuff but the chance to hear some SYL stuff for the first time in a decade (or whatever it is) is too much to miss

Re: Next Announcement

Whitesnake were pretty good at Download this year. I would reckon at least one of Amon Amarth, Mercyful Fate, Helloween, and Priest for headliners. Of those 4 I'd prefer Helloween. Really like AA and Priest but both have played recently and although I like MF's music I get turned off as soon as Kin...

Re: Next Announcement

If Devin plays, he headlines no question. As has been previously said he’s bigger than ever. Add to that that next year’s (not this year’s) tour he will be playing Strapping Young Lad songs for the first time in nearly 15 years and he’s a definite headliner. Behemoth? If they had an orchestra that w...

Re: Next Announcement

Well, I don't think anyone saw that coming. Excellent news for me although I wonder about what kind of reception they'll get. Wildhearts added and both Code Orange and Shvpes cancelling? That is a pretty fucking good announcement all-round I'd say. I'd like to think a pretty good one, and they will...

Re: Next Announcement

Its about the only festival they haven't played over the last year or so. Been hoping they might get a shot for a while, but typically they play the year I'm not going.

Seeing them tonight though, so its not all bad!

Re: Next Announcement

Are the Wacken forums getting the same hate for PWD? One difference though is that at Wacken, there will be another 2-3 stages with bands on at the same time. And the Wacken organisers havent been trying to wind people up about the announcement. From a personal point of view, I don't get them at al...

Re: Next Announcement

See Bloodsock have just put out a post on Facebook asking everyone to calm down and respect people’s opinions and to stop the bullying aggressive behaviour of some. And then you read the comments underneath and it just flares all up again. It is all getting a bit silly now. The problem is when they...
