Re: The rather morbid celebrity RIP Thread.

Neil Peart has died at the age of 67 from brain cancer. Very sad. :(

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

No response to the election result then? I'm assuming you're all still in shock or in a state of depression.

It looks like the Labour/Green coalition predicted by this forum's voting intentions was way off the mark.

Re: Next Announcement

Saxon are playing as special guest to Judas Priest at a show in Austria towards the end of July - could do the same at Bloodstock? Yeah I reckon Saxon are nailed on as Sunday special guests. They're also doing an Italian festival called Rock the Castle in July. Big chance they'll do all of Europe b...

Since they have the highest number of Metal bands per capita I would fully support a Finnish-style education system. Perhaps in 2060 Bloodstock might start booking decent bands again.

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

The proposed Labour policies are nothing like policies in Venezuela. They are modeled off policies used in Norway / Sweden / Germany which you may notice are all doing pretty well with a happier population and less inequality than the UK The thing is, until the last couple of days I haven't heard J...

Re: Next Announcement

Do they even care anymore? I certainly don't care anymore. With each announcement the chances of my attendance drop a bit more. I might go for a day if a couple of really good bands are announced for the same day, but at the moment it looks like I'll be giving BOA 2020 a miss. It really does look l...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

It would only make a difference if that female leader is Diane Abbott, or perhaps Emily Thornberry.

Re: Next Announcement

Problem with some bands (BG, Epica) is that they're bigger in Europe so will get better offers on the mainland to consider in a crowded Euro festival calendar. A smaller festival could be in a worse position to make an attractive offer. Fair point. I just took the first two bands who came into my h...

Re: Next Announcement

I feel the organisers are turning in a different direction to the BOA i used to enjoy attending. If BOA continues down this route, does anyone reckon that other smaller Metal festivals (such as Amplified, if it returns) might decide to upscale and book the bands who have been ignored by Bloodstock ...

Re: Next Announcement

The Wishlist hath been the quietest year I have ever seen it, whether people dont have the ideas, dont feel listen to, feel its a foregone conclusion, bored, im not sure I don't think the people booking the bands may much attention to the forum wishlist, so I don't think there's much point requesti...

Nobody gets a set that short at Bloodstock anyway, so I don't think the comment was worth taking seriously.
