Re: What has made you happy today

Had a lovely Birthday yesterday.

Spent afternoon hanging out with Mark, playing connect 4 and drinking Raspberry slush puppies then went out for a lovely meal in the evening and got given free champagne from the restaurant as it was my birthday :)

Re: The Health 'n' Fitness Thread

I usually add my whey to a bananna pancake in the morning after my first swim (1 bannana mashed, a few tablespoons of egg white and my Vanilla whey) keeps me going most of the day. I started weight training a few weeks ago so have completely upped the Protein in my diet (2 chicks egg white, total yo...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

I made a Birthday cake last night and decided to 'Freestyle' half way and add any old thing and this morning I have a gloopy mess.

Re: What pissed you off today

I thought the kids had gone back to school today so was a bit more relaxed about getting to pool as I assumed the general swim in afternoon would be as quiet as the Adult swim - but nope, loads of bloody kids jumping in whilst trying to do lengths.

Re: What pissed you off today

None of the hairdryers were working this morning and my hair is a tangled frizzy wet mess... Obviously I am fucking freezing too and my top is soaked from hair dripping on it :(

Re: The Health 'n' Fitness Thread

Thought I would post a couple of pics http://i61.tinypic.com/a9qouv.jpg This was taken 2/1/14 http://i58.tinypic.com/nv1jyx.jpg and this was taken last night (week 6) 2 stone 12 ibs down. Still got a bloody long way to go, but I think the hard work the last 6 weeks has definitely made a small differ...

Re: What has made you happy today

It was a one off as I have the day off and I really wanted to improve my stroke technique as next week I only have 45 / 60 min sessions I can realistically do so wanted to make sure I am going into them doing the strokes the best I can (to make the most out of training time). To be honest I was only...

Re: What has made you happy today

Did a 5 hour swim session this morning :)

Also in general it is my week 6 weigh in tonight as things stand now I am only a pound and a bit away from 3 stone down, so hopefully next week I will get it :)

Re: The Relationships Thread

Thanks guys :) She voluntarily sat down next to me in Statistics and helped me out. It's a hard subject and she was a better teacher than my lecturer so at the very least, that itself is a plus. I'm hosting a party at my house tomorrow and she asked to go, but I don't think it's time to try anythin...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

I made the decision to pretty much not drink anymore (apart from really special occasions) but my friends seem adamant to get me to ruin it somehow.

I have never needed booze to have a great fun time, so I have no idea why they seem so eager for me to get trashed.

Re: What has made you happy today

Really pushed myself today and basically set a new personal record (which I hope to be shitting all over in a few weeks) . I have been recording times and speed and have shaved a big chunk of my time in a matter of weeks. I also managed to find a really hard to find thai wine for my mates Birthday B...

Re: What has made you happy today

My Kettlebells arrived! They look really cool (they are the Kettlebone ones) so I will not be hiding them up after using them because of my tidyness OCD.

My plan was to start them during week 4 (Friday onwards) but as they are here now and I have a rare day off...

Re: The Relationships Thread

I guess ultimately you have to do what feels best for you, though I have always been skeptical of that method since my Nan spent the last 5 years of her life paying most of her pension to someone just to basically feel better and fell closer to my Grandad. Though she seemed happy so I guess that wor...

Re: What has made you happy today

I had my week 3 weigh in last night. Decided as well as swimming to take up a few exercise classes and this week I have lost over 10% of my weight from the beginning of the year (which I am pretty chuffed with in 3 weeks). Also found out that Code are playing in Guildford tomorrow night so heading t...
