Re: What's upset you?
My own sad is that we seem to be having issues in both our fish tanks at the moment -- in the smaller tank we've lost the last of our sakura shrimp to white ring of death, a couple of catfish to random fish death syndrome, and one of the danios had a swimbladder problem and has seemingly disappeared...

Sorry to hear that, but glad you're recovering and have the strength to post about what you're going through. I'm not on social media, as you know, but if you want to chat, you know how to contact me.

Re: Twitter
Completely pointless website. It annoys me when websites (especially news websites) integrate it into their pages, and I find it especially annoying when somebody writes an essay on it. If you have to split your message into seven parts, then you're using the wrong website to convey your message.

Re: TV: Current and Recent
Unexpected, if somewhat disappointing, ending to GoT. Glad that Tyrion got one last good speech in before the end. Laughed at the reaction to Samwell's suggestion. Rolled my eyes at Sansa's declaration. Was pleasantly surprised by Bronn's contribution. Was alright. Sincerely hope the last books will...

Re: movies
The fate of Odin is revealed in Thor: Ragnarok. Up to this point all you need to know is that Loki has always wanted to rule, and being "dead" gives him the freedom usurp the throne without anyone realising anything.

Re: TV: Current and Recent
Yeah, good episode, but again with the plot armour though. The named characters that you knew would die, did. The others got a bit banged up, but they'll live.
Until next time.

Re: movies
Thor was good, but they either didn't think about the ending, or didn't expect to make a sequel. (Not going to elaborate on that, since gavdann hasn't seen it yet, but people who have seen it probably know what I'm talking about.)

Re: TV: Current and Recent
Bit disappointed with this weeks GoT. Everything seems too rushed. Important events aren't built up, they just happen. TBH, it all feels like a badly written teen fanfiction, particularly with the romance shoehorned into it.

Re: TV: Current and Recent
Well, I think you got your wish with #3. (Spoilers follow) (Highlight to read, unless you're using a non-standard theme, in which case stop reading now if you don't want spoiled) So much fucking plot armour, I swear to god. Still, we have our Azor Ahai. Or do we? Also, the crypts. Who didn't see tha...

Ep2 was pretty good. It's interesting that they introduced Jenny's song now though.

Re: The Book thread
I'm up to Storm of Swords (book three) in my reread of ASOIAF, just coming up to the Red Wedding.
It was interesting reading the prophetic dreams and visions various characters have so early on in the series, now that I have more context.

Re: The Book thread
It's not the first one like that I've spotted recently. I guess there's some new bot tech out there, since everyone and their mother can recognise the crude old bots that just spam every subforum in a community. Nobody clicks those links, because they're obviously spam; at a glance, this is almost p...

Re: Computer Games Thread
Oh god, fuck the lightning dodge challenge. :< FFX-2 is alright. It's not as bad as people made it out to be when it first came out. It is ridiculously fan-servicey, and a lot of the dialog is cringeworthy, but it had an interesting story if you were bothered enough to dig up all the side quests, an...
