They didn't look good enough from what I saw to win, but a draw probably would have been fairer.
That said, if this season ends with City winning I'll be very disappointed.

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
See I'm torn on the issue because I kind of think that it needs to be done, tickets are so expensive these days and there's no real reason for it, I agree with them to stand up for themselves. The fact that you cost the team 2 points basically makes it even better because its actually having an impa...

Good. Get rid of him and get in someone who doesn't win by sheer luck every game.

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
Don't know why everyone's excited about Klopp in the Prem, it's big Sam's return to the league with Sunderland that's going to set the league on fire :P I like Big Sam, but Sunderland bore me as a team, so I kind of hope he's a failure. I really want to see them relegated. It will be interesting to...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
Well, that's Rodgers gone. Can't say I'm surprised, Liverpool have been awful this season. Klopp will be the favourite to replace him I imagine. I'd like to say he's been hard done by, but spending £200m on a bunch of players that don't really fit your system (whether that was his decision or not) ...

Re: TV: Current and Recent
I've only seen the first one of this series. Didn't mind it, but I dont really like that they seem to want to do an ongoing narrative the last two seasons. The multi-part episodes are some of the best but it feels too much like they aren't finishing stories lately.

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
I'd like him to be kept on a bit, but...they are one of those teams that just can't seem to sign anyone good. I'm not sure if it's the manager or the board, but whoever's doing the signings there seems to go for a flavour of the month that doesn't really fit into the system Liverpool play. Tacticall...

He wasn't sacked in the morning. Can't see him being there long though.

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
Known we needed a defensive midfielder and back up striker since the end of last season. Didn't fucking buy either. 10/10 Levy great window again. That's exactly the same situation as Arsenal. I'm amazed that neither brought what they needed at all, just pissed around all summer doing nothing. I lo...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
Also, occurred to me earlier, any news on QPR being allowed back into the football league? Wait, have I completely missed something? Why wouldn't they be? They broke FFP the 2013/2014 season when they got promoted to the Prem, they were given a huge fine but as they got promoted they couldn't be fo...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
Seeing quite a few rumors from often reliable sources that we're in for Berahino. I hope so. I've splashed a fair bit of cash for him in my fantasy football auction! Then you really want him to stay, he might actually be useful at a lower club, if he moves he'll never do anything like pretty much e...

Schweinstiger is stupidly cheap, an absolutely top class player. Schneiderlin (damn these stupid hard to spell Germanic names) I'm not so sure about. He was good at Southampton but I'm not sure anywhere else.

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
Nigel Pearson sacked before pre season. Wow that seems like a mistake, but I suppose its because of that racist video thing. Why? He had nothing to do with it. Unless he kicked up a storm and the board overrode him and that caused bad blood. As usual with newly promoted teams who just about s...
