Re: Computer Games Thread

Didn't a group of guys manage to mod a Kinect, so it would do pretty much what it does on the Xbox One, but on a PC? I know they did it for Skyrim and there was a video which seems to be down now, but it was on PC Gamer. (Will re-edit when I find the link!) Edit: Here it is; http://www.youtube.com/...

Re: Computer Games Thread

Also Xbox One? So we have Xbox (the first one) Xbox 360 (the second one) and Xbox 1 (the third one)? Makes perfect sense. Yeah! Just like SimCity, SimCity 2000, SimCity 3000, SimCity 4 and SimCity! At least that's some form of logical procession (aside from the last one). What the hell is One suppo...

Re: Computer Games Thread

Wow as someone who hasn't been following this conference thing at all, this thread is making me laugh. Mind you, all those features sound absolutely bollocks. I'll just get a computer, thanks, the Kinect was shit back when Playstation were calling it the Eyetoy, give it up! Also Xbox One? So we have...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

Nice to see Sturridge in there. Definitely earned his place. However, (and I say this as a Liverpool fan), how can Woy not have noticed how utterly dreadful Glen Johnson has been recently? It's not as if he has the time to go around looking at English players that aren't playing for the top 6 or 7 ...

http://screenrant.com/agents-of-shield-tv-show-logo-cast-photo/ Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is going to be a thing, this autumn. YAY. It's a guaranteed hit, let's hope it's good though, too many shows that don't deserve to be cancelled are getting cancelled at the expense of crap, Touch being a perfect e...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

I wonder what Wigan would prefer - winning the cup, or staying up (lets face it, they are probably down). The money is in the Premier League, but taking part in a final is much more exciting for the fans. Its often much more level if the big teams are playing essentially their second teams, and much...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

No i'm not. He got Preston from the brink of relegation from division 2 to a play off final to the prem. He has then kept Everton up and have been regulars in the top 6, he's doing something right ...i generally mean a manager who has been in contention with a club(s) for league titles, playing cha...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

I utterly hate Man United so maybe I'm biased, but I always thought the bastard was overrated as a manager. I've only been following football a few years, but in that time, everything they won it seemed through luck. Like this year - they may be the best team in the league, but that's only because e...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

Am I the only one who thought Dr Who was a bit shite this week? Actually thought it was the best one in a long time, solely on the basis that it made sense, didn't come up with some bullshit end where talking solves everything and didn't overload it with bullshit stories that don't go anywhere. Tha...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

*spoilers*They manage to ruin every episode this year with something stupid. Big reset button, going back through time to stop what happened, shoehorning in a plot about three blokes its impossible to care about, and the reseting that anyway. It could have been so much more interesting.

Re: TV: Current and Recent

Actually quite shocked people are enjoying Doctor Who at the moment. The new assistants quite good, and I'm even starting to warm to Matt Smith a bit (though he's still not a patch on Tennant), but the stories just aren't up to much - trying to fit too much into 45 minutes, with most seemingly unsur...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

For the most part I'd rather read a book - certainly rather read a book than watch a film, although I only really want one version - I avoided reading the Song of Ice and Fire book just because I knew Game of Thrones was being made. For the most part I'd rather they made something unique rather tha...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

Revolution was alright, if very predictable. As annoying as that main girl is though, the thinly veiled pro-republican messages are more annoying (the bad guys banning guns and burning flags? Subtle). Not really got into Matt Smith as the Doctor myself. He seems to childish at times, particularly in...
