Gamma Ray

Fun, heavy, loud, sing-along METAL

One of those bands (like Powerwolf) that work hard, get a crowd into it, and if you don't know the words at the start of the song, you know the chorus by the end of the solo

Re: Next Announcement

I'll take FFDP over KSE any day of the week, FFDP actually have a handful of tracks I like. Same. As a bargain bin Pantera, their kinda fun. I love the high expectations on this forum  That said, I have prepared various Picards for use when she inevitably announces some brocore rubbish for one...

Re: BOA 2019: Rate the bands

I was in Midgard for all 3 main stage headliners as none of them were to my taste. For Sabaton and Scorpions it was fucking dead, for Parkway Drive there were tons of people in the camp partying. Given that by accounts iv heard Parkway Drive got an alright sized crowd despite how busy the campsite ...

Re: BOA 2019: Rate the bands

Thursday Footprints in the Custard - 5/10 - Tight, well done; Alestorm with none of the wit. Rotting Christ - 9/10 - Excellent all round, and the depth of the setlist meant that no-one was disappointed. Really great way to start the festival. Friday Midnight Prophecy - 10/10 - It might be straight u...

Re: Next Announcement

Apparently PWD sold more day tickets than anyone - which is fine but indicates there is a bit of a divide between them and weekend ticket buyers. As for the biggest- Slayer or Priest Makes a lot of sense (the divide) - I went back to my tent for a pre-Taake nap during Parkway's slot, and the site w...

Re: BOA 2019: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.

The Good - Bar staff - really cheerful the whole time, despite the constant tech problems / beer problems / some people problems. Special shout to the girls in the Red Bull tent that got soaked the whole time as it offered no protection from the rain when serving / standing near the bar. Friday / Su...

Re: Obligatory weather topic

Latest this morning seems to be - Thursday - fine/good Friday - heavy rain 6am-9am, then light rain/showers all day Saturday - light rain until about 7pm Sunday - fine/good Glad I kept the "panzer cloak" I bought off the military surplus stand last year. It's got a hood, buttons down the ...

Powerwolf - Blessed & Possessed - they got three songs off it for Wacken, and learning the words to Armata Strigoi is, pardon the rhyme, a joy.

But it's not like he's disabled or anything. Jeff Becerra is paralysed FFS.
