Re: TV: Current and Recent

Well I think it's only fair especially as we did it for breaking bad. Some people haven't seen season 3 or earlier and with the delay us broadcast and UK broadcast (and those who watch it by other means) it spoils for those people as well.

I've started a spoiler thread for Game of Thrones so we can still use this thread without spoiling it for others.

Re: movies

On a Captain America note, were me and the wife the only two people in the world to point at the screen and shout (well, loudly whisper), "Abed!" near the end?  I just saw it and I wanted to but I knew no one else would know who he is. On a side note I really liked the film ov...

Re: movies

Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil 2 Officially Announced  Great news. I'll have to rewatch the first one again now. Hunger Games Catching Fire - a massive step up from the first film. The acting is a lot more solid and Jennifer Lawrence looks amazing. 7.5/10 I'd have given it more if it weren't for the...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

Ploughing through the US version of The Office. I love it. I loved that entire series except for the first season. Fortunately I'd seen most of 2 onwards before I'd seen 1, so when I went back and watched it, it didn't put me off. Had I watched it from the beginning, I don't think I'd have finished...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

Jonathon Creek new series episode 1 - what the fuck has happened? What was once a smart and fun show has become a Columbo rip off with insanely terrible writing and direction and lacked humour completely. I hope the BBC fires them for this utter dire piece of shit. The second one is worse. Gone the...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

The Walking Dead has lots of walking and lots of dead. Unfortunately, it's meandering to a conclusion rather than drawing you into it. It also seems to have completely forgotten that Rick is the central character. Rick hasn't really been the central character for a long while. I think the main flaw...

Re: Computer Games Thread

Absolutely loving the new South Park game but fuck...........the censors are pissing me off with the amount of stuff that's been taking out in this one section. So much has been retracted its like what the fuck is the point of this section now.

Re: TV: Current and Recent

True Detective - all I can say is Matthew Maconaughey deserves that Oscar. He and Woody Harrelson are acting their best in a long time.

Re: movies

GODZILLA - FULL LENGTH TRAILER In theory i'm ecstatically excited about this movie, used to watch the 50's and 60's movies as a kid...but in practice i've already been let down by American attempts to portray Godzilla and feel a little uneasy about this film. It looks pretty good. It's directed by ...

Re: movies

I quite like the second film. It is an awful script and the original version Frank Miller wrote (and is now a comic book) is far superior. I wish they'd made that instead.

Re: movies

The Lego Movie - holy fuck that is the most awesome thing I have ever seen. It looks like actual Lego pieces but the cgi is just perfect. And the end sequence.......deserves an award. I rarely rate a film so highly but 11/10 for the pure brilliance of the whole movie.

Re: movies

Have you seen any other Tarrantino films?

Also, C S Lee played two different characters in the film.
