Re: movies
I watched it yesterday, I just love this film, and the CGI was brilliant :| He's also one of my fav directors Martin Campbell is a decent director when he wants to be...Both his Bond films were good, as was Mask of Zorro. Vertical Limit, however, from what I remember was rubbish and forgettable, as...

Re: movies
I really liked Green Lantern. I know nothing of the character's comic book mythology or anything like that, so I just took it as a fun sci-fi/action adventure movie. Sure the CGI could've been better, the plot was unoriginal and the film fell for almost every cliche available.. but it was a laugh. ...

Re: movies
According to my Flixster account, the lowest rating I've given this year is The Sweeney with a 2, and a couple of 3s in Mirror Mirror, Journey 2, Pirates and Ted...
But I seem not to have rated Total Recall...so I'll give that a 2 too!

Re: movies
Saw the Hobbit in 3D IMAX, and I agree with everything said above. Surpassed my expectations and was just awesome. Will be seeing it again soon. It was also probably the best looking film I've ever seen too, and the 3D was immersive rather than intrusive.

Lovefilm automatically restarted it self after a pay freeze...we figured we may aswell keep it going as since we froze the account we've spend a fortune on Blu-Rays! Anyway, we had Carnage and My Week with Marilyn come through the post. Carnage - Roman Polanskis film about two couples (John C. O'Re...

Pointless is one of the best shows on the tellybox (the real one, not downloads...which pretty much everything else we watch is), but you are right, I'd love to see a Metal version!

I was quite enjoying it until the last 15 minutes or so...then it just went random...and like you said makes no sense!

Re: TV: Current and Recent
Still, my point is that Tru Blood didn't influence Walking Dead in anyway from comic to tv. They are so far apart, the comparisson is stupid. Inspiration and influence doesn't necessarily mean they have to be similar. How many Death/Extreme metal bands claim to be inspired and influenced by Iron Ma...

Re: movies
If they just start churning out naff movies, they will eventually fizzle out, Ep I to III were 'special'. A long wait for the story of Darth Vader, which is something people were interested in...I really can not see where they can go after Ep VI.
