Re: Trivial Grumblings

Turns out walking around in the bollock freezing cold of Leeds at 2am can result in a cold and ruining my last day off before heading back to work tomorrow. I might not be well enough for that which normally wouldn't be too huge an issue but i've got to pack all my shit up for the office move which ...

Re: What's upset you?

Phoning your parents to ask about your grandparents' medical history is a really depressing thing to do. Saying that, the female members of my family have been generally free of nasty genetic ailments which is encouraging.

Re: Trivial Grumblings

I wasn't allowed to trick or treat as a youngster for a variety of reasons so I never really got into the tradition. Me neither. My mum hates Halloween because it's her birthday and she kinda passed that down to me! I only really remember it becoming a thing for adults when I got to uni and I wasn'...

Re: What pissed you off today

The fire alarm went off in my flat this morning at 6am and it is literally the worst noise I've ever experienced (except maybe Metal Allegiance). It was so loud it felt like someone was bashing alternate sides of my head. I know those things are supposed to get your attention but that was truly ridi...

What about Felix, the Huddesfield station cat? They made her chief pest controller and she has a cat flap in the ticket barrier! She has a Facebook page. People mainly just take pictures and send her treats.

Re: Trivial Grumblings

The new team leader has taken up the empty desk next to me at work and if that wasn't bad enough, he insists on speaking to me before 10am. I'm not a functioning human until at least that time dammit.

My mum is the only person I know who doesn't have a mobile phone. She used to have one but never used it - in fact if you don't use your phone for a year, it invalidates the SIM card.

I re-added your number from a pre-BOA Facebook conversation. I'm still on the same number thankfully because I've only just memorised it!

Re: What pissed you off today

My phone decided to turn off forever over the weekend before I had a chance to properly back up my contacts. Now I have a new phone that works (hooray!) but hardly any numbers. This would probably matter more if I ever spoke to anyone though...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

The students that don't understand that it's really bloody annoying to dawdle in large groups on the pavements around the triangle. I know it's super exciting and overwhelming to buy your own towels in Wilko but some of us want to get places!

Re: The Relationships Thread

Bloody hell, what an awful woman! At least your gf's dad seems to be a decent person and it looks like you'll be away from her mum pretty soon. Unfortunately most of the time there is no talking to people like that. They've decided they are right and will stick to it no matter how much pain they cau...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

Folks rang to say they're stuck in traffic and are going to be late which will jeopardise their B&B booking because the landlady has now told them that if they don't arrive by 7 then they don't have a bed for the night. What a cow. Also what's with the very occasional feedback you get when talk...

Re: What pissed you off today

Ai Cait convinced me to go posh as fuck for it. I think we're up on the friday and gonna do a meal or something. I did look at the Marriott - it has a swimming pool and a gym which is pretty fancy. We'll be up on the Friday too - meal is a good plan. I assume one of the Damnation veterans knows som...

Re: What pissed you off today

You've probably thought of this but try Ibis Budget if you're outta luck. Failing that, there's multiple Premier Inns and Travelodges. Joe and Cait are staying in the Marriott Hotel I think. I'll just get Joe to book the hotel as hopefully his card expires after November. Actually getting him to do...
