Re: Clashfinder

Ah well, that's why there's a print advisory. It will be interesting to see how this year deviates from last year's timings.

Thanks for keeping the clashfinder up-to-date, kurrupo.

Obligatory weather topic

Surprised this hasn't been created yet, there's normally one going about a month and a half in advance of the festival. Accuweather's currently saying ~21°C (lows of ~14°C overnight), cloudy with showers for the weekend. Sunday looks to be the driest day atm. BBC's predicting similar temps, bu...

Re: First Timer Questions

Well my 360+ mile trip would take about six hours without stops, so I assume yours will take... less. :P

This is all assuming BGC send out the actual tickets soon. :eyes:

Re: First Timer Questions

I don't know about buying at the gate, but they usually stop sending out tickets in the post around about now and say you can pick them up at the box office onsite instead. It may be that they sell tickets at the box office too but I can't find any information about that.

Re: First Timer Questions

The map's up, on the Event Info page (direct link). I think the supermarket's your best bet for beer slabs, but be prepared to pay a lot more for them vs. a non-festival supermarket.

Re: First Timer Questions

Remember that tent sizes are very literal. If it says 'two man' , it means it will hold two very intimate men and no gear (or one man and his gear), so always +1 on your capacity requirements when choosing a tent so you have somewhere to store your booze/clothes /etc

Re: Bloodstock 2019 Countdown

Is that because we only know 14 things, can only count to 14, or is it 14 things that other people might not necessarily know (or all three?). :eyes:

Re: Next Announcement

Dunno about that, Jotunheim was pretty much unused last year. I think there was maybe four or five tents? Wonder if they'll be running a path between Ironwood and Valhalla though.

Re: Next Announcement

The closest we have got to having Maiden ha! Rise to Remain played the main stage in 2008, if you're going by the dubious Dicko = Maiden & Spawn of Dicko = Dicko logic. :P They went down like a sack of wet turds too. They had no business being on the main stage, especially considering that they...

Re: What's upset you?

My own sad is that we seem to be having issues in both our fish tanks at the moment -- in the smaller tank we've lost the last of our sakura shrimp to white ring of death, a couple of catfish to random fish death syndrome, and one of the danios had a swimbladder problem and has seemingly disappeared...

Sorry to hear that, but glad you're recovering and have the strength to post about what you're going through. I'm not on social media, as you know, but if you want to chat, you know how to contact me.

Re: Next Announcement

So the t-shirt designs actually look pretty good this year. Will probably pick up an excalibur design at the fest. As for the bands (and poets) in this latest announcement: Eyes of the Raven Sophie Sparham Daybreaker Victus The Hope Burden Pravitas Marw Widows Tomorrow is Lost Saurr Goat Monsoon Rea...
