Re: TV: Current and Recent

My point was that you called yourself a purist in reference to something which you then said that you weren't. I found that funny. End of. I'm not trying to call you unintelligent and never did or would do. I have never claimed to have a "towering knowledge" -- just simply read something ...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

calling yourself a book purist and then quibbling things that are very evident on the page and not tiny nitpicks that need to be scoured for though is a little bit funny.

Re: TV: Current and Recent

i'll often skip tyrion on a re-read but like reading the paralell arya/sansa chapters together and the jaime/cersei ones as they mirror each other too. but for a first read i'd always take in everything, and then later re-read my favourites. i've a mind for little details, except if it were in a tyr...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

it's funny because a page back you called yourself a book purist. i have to agree on cat though. she's the only stark (except sansa) who's clever enough to think of the diplomatic strategy. robb is a carbon copy of ned (ned 2.0) who pretty much makes the same incredibly stupid mistakes in the name o...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

Why, when Stannis's character is entirely based around him being a man of honour who always does the thing that his oaths require him to do, would you have him sleep with Melisandre? I'm guessing they've put it in so that when she gives birth to the shadow creature you get some background as to whe...

Re: What has made you happy today

i'm doing a long overdue clear-out of all the crap i have left in my parents' house, and clearing things out that may have once had sentimental value but now just upset me to look at is strangely peaceful. and i've found some really great things i had forgotten about :D

Re: TV: Current and Recent

there were people on this here forum who are not american yet didn't get the anvil-sized "renly and loras are gay" bits in the text so it's not just an american thing.

Re: TV: Current and Recent

it's a british-american co-production, actually. also stannis/melisandre is pretty much confirmed as canon. how else do you think shadow babies get made? no seriously, grrm has said as much. he also confirmed that he writes it as a deliberate breakdown of the fantasy tropes and i feel so justfied in...
