Re: last dvd/bluray i bought
Ooh, ooh, I have something to post in here! https://www.jbhifi.com.au/FileLibrary/ProductResources/Images/83346-L-LO.jpg I didn't realise there'd been a season 2. Will have to look that up! https://www.jbhifi.com.au/FileLibrary/ProductResources/Images/107582-L-LO.jpg Wasn't sure on the pilot episode...

Re: movies
Excellent, I really liked [rec], can't remember a damn thing about [rec] 2 and skipped the third. I shall look this one up. Don't let your expectations get too high-Darkweasel is usually spot-on but is wrong in this case. It's the worst Rec. film by miles and it's not even very gory.5/10 from me. Me...

Re: Computer Games Thread
This Christmas, apparently.. Exclusively on Xbox. Fuck it all. Isn't it a 'timed' exclusive? (ie PS4 will possibly get it in 6 months or something) True, but that's still a massive kick in the pants for anyone with a PS3. I was thinking of getting an Xbone or cheap 360 once I'm settled in a job aft...

Re: The rather morbid celebrity RIP Thread.
Daniel von Bargen, aka that military guy/cop/old hard-ass from a bunch of cult movies and TV shows, has passed away aged 64.

Danger 5 is awesome. Stupid as hell, but awesome. Seen quite a few ads for season 2 on TV over here and it looks even crazier.

Re: TV: Current and Recent
Am I right in thinking that JJ Abrams intended Lost to finish much earlier than it did, which is why the final few seasons went off the rails? Not that I'm overly fussed either way, as I stopped watching during the first season. Was a bit too young to really give a toss about it when it was relevant...

Re: Computer Games Thread
On the penultimate level of Tomb Raider. Got past the section that had me stuck 2 years ago much easier this time around - fortunately I've been keeping a steady stock of ammo, whereas last time I went in with next to none. So far I'm finding it hard to fault the game too much. It's a bit irritating...

Re: TV: Current and Recent
Parks and Recreation and The Office (US) are probably my two favourite TV show finales ever.
Both leave you with plenty of closure on the characters and round things off nicely.
In fact, I'm very tempted to re-watch both shows from second seasons to end (as both had naff beginnings).

Re: Computer Games Thread
Having another whack at Tomb Raider. I got stuck last time I played it (nearly 2 years ago, according to my save file), so have started a new game.
So far the only grumble is the quick time events, especially as failing them means death, but at least it respawns you pretty much where you left off.

Re: movies
Jude Law is also one of the few good things about eXistenZ. I really cannot watch that film. Not because of Law, but because the whole thing is basically Fisher Price My First Cronenberg . Elements of nearly all of his earlier work, but tamed down and sanitised for a younger, wider audience. I lost...
