Re: Anyone know the policy on water bottles / pouches?

I actually don't recall ever having my bag searched when entering the press area before, come to think of it, so I am assuming this is either a new rule or simply not enforced for people who are actually working at the festival.

Re: Anyone know the policy on water bottles / pouches?

That's how they can justify the pitch fees for arena food vendors, which keeps ticket prices down. Realistically, it's only a problem for those of us who stay in hotels and thus can't just pop back to camp for a bite. Not only that, but considering I work in the press, even simply making time to go...

No food? Seriously? Fuck that.

Re: Trivial Grumblings

Oh, right. Yeah that does sound kinda stressful. Funnily enough I often think I'd have really enjoyed a career in the theatre, working behind the scenes in that sort of capacity. I find the theatre endlessly thrilling. But I guess it's easy to imagine a line of work as being fun when you're not actu...

But Book of Mormon is brilliant. I literally couldn't breathe at one point because I was laughing so much.

Re: A free-for-all thread

Is it me or do political YouTube videos with "Banned video" smack of "this video wasn't ever banned but we'll say it is so people can feel edgy watching it"? It's not just you. Playing the "we've been censored for our views!" persecution card is a tactic employed parti...

Re: Any site pics yet????

I think you'd be surprised by how quickly a festival build happens. Download, which is much bigger than Bloodstock, only starts about a week before the event.

Re: What pissed you off today

I would take as much notice of that article that I would a medical article in The Mail. Especially an article written three years ago by a psychologist who works as a journalist. Not really sure what part of "the article is citing a study" (which can be found in the British Medical Journa...

Re: What pissed you off today

Yeah. I would get my medical advice off a TV company website. If you actually read the article, they're quoting studies. It's not like some BBC journo decided to start dishing out health advice. Furthermore, I've heard the same from numerous GPs. The blanket advice about avoiding alcohol with medic...

Re: What pissed you off today

looks like i gone and got myself Lyme disease, right before my holiday, awesome. Double dose of antibiotics, which dictate I need to stay out of direct sunlight and avoid alcohol. It's going to be a fucking great holiday  Pssssst: the whole thing about antibiotics and alcohol is largely b...

Re: What's upset you?

Not a joke. I've spoken to the Samaritans many times - the reality is that the UK mental health resources are a big fat joke. Took them nearly 2 years to get me even close to a psychiatrist when in Sweden it took them 2 months. Thanks though onona, I really appreciate it. This and your advice in th...

They'd better have some good IPAs in the VIP bar. Last year's selection was underwhelming.

Re: What's upset you?

I hate being single. Hanging myself is looking more and more tempting. I hope the hanging comment was a joke. If not, please call Samaritans. http://www.samaritans.org/ If you're lonely, and that's why being single bothers you, then well that sucks and there's not much anyone can say that'll make y...
