Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
Kane at target for the golden boot in spite of his injury. What a beast.

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)
Being that the Tories have added more national debt in the last 7 years then all Labour governments put together, all whilst under the banner of austerity, makes the idea that they can "balance the books" utterly bizarre. They've had 7 years in charge and completely failed to bring govern...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)
Ai, the "shy tory" thing is hardly surprising when everyones asserting that if you vote conservative you're a poor hating, fox murdering bastard who probably loves hitler. But the question then follows, if you don't hate the poor or want to murder foxes, why would you vote for a party tha...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)
Because no one expects HS2 to get done anywhere near budget, or within schedule, or generally be anything useful other than allowing Londoners to live outside of London and shift their housing/rent prices to those areas.

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)
Fairly unsurprising considering I'm a bleeding heart lefty - Mostly aligned with Labour and Lib Dems, and least with Conservatives, tho there's a bit of overlap
EDIT: Least with parties that have any chance of getting an MP

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)
I like the way the opposition parties are now whingeing about the election after spending the last year whingeing that Theresa May is an unelected Prime Minister. :? :? Pretty much all the opposition has put out statements about how hyped they are to win. Which they obviously won't, but the only wh...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
Weird little squad coming out of Southgate. Goalkeepers: Fraser Forster (Southampton), Joe Hart (Torino, on loan from Man City), Tom Heaton (Burnley). Defenders: Ryan Bertrand (Southampton), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Nathaniel Clyne (Liverpool), Phil Jones (Man Utd), Michael Keane (Burnley), Luke Shaw ...

Re: movies
12 Angry Men surprised the fuck out of me. Threw it on during a hungover Sunday and was gripped from the start. Doubly amazing considering it's literally 12 dudes arguing the entire movie.
