Re: What made you Lol Today?

Getting stuck behind a 4x4 driver in the school rush traffic, after about 10 minutes of slow movement they proceed to open the window, hit the horn repeatedly and with a cig in hand lean out and yell "I need to get my angel to school so move your fucking asses before I ram you off the dam road!...

Having a lot of Polish co-workers made for an interesting watch today  All credit to Senegal and Japan though, both deserved their wins and has defied expectations.

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

What do we make of VAR so far? I think it's been right more than not, but am bamboozled as to the criteria they are using for alerting the referee to certain issues. Needs to be explained a bit better really, after what happened to Kane tonight think everyone wants to know why it wasn't used. Overa...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

Scotland did have to play better teams than Thailand though, but I can imagine Scotland losing to Thailand. If you're going to mock any countries for not qualifying then it should be Italy and Holland. Ah, just wanted to try and get one back for the ABE thing  Portugal v Spain, finally a hyped...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

I was amazed at the Saudi's lack of attacking movement. It was like they were used to just passing it around until a defender makes a mistake. Made me look up their route to the WC, I have to watch Thailand play football because if that Saudi team can beat them 3-0 then I can only imagine how they ...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

Saudi Arabia remind me of someone whose never played FIFA before but is trying to learn the controls. Would make Wenger proud though, they only once tried to actually shoot and spent the rest of the time trying to pass it into the goal

I think Jeremy Corbyn is.

I do find it ironic that the party accused of anti-semitism are hosting the event at Spur's old ground given their nickname...

Apparently if you're part of the Spanish team that involves sacking your manager at the last minute...

New manager bounce going into the WC, seems the premier league is more influential than we thought.

Re: The Voting Age

Ultimately, if such an idea was implemented, young adult workers, without the right to vote, would have to hold their water till they were old enough. They wouldn't be too neglected by the policy makers because people do vote for their kids too. (Remember, Blair's 'education education education' sl...

Re: The Voting Age

Its controversial but I would say 25, with at least 2 years in full time work. You need an informed choice when you vote. What happens if the country then develops high level of youth unemployment ala Spain? Or if predictions come true and the gig economy becomes the norm? Not knocking your idea ju...

Well that was a boring cup final, picked up a bit in the second half but wasn't the most entertaining game.

Also, Lambert sacked from Stoke

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread

True, I would resent paying to watch that kind of football myself but I'm still kind of torn. As a fire fighting job to salvage a season to start afresh the next I guess I would accept it, it's better to start anew in the same league than have to rejiggle the whole set up for a season (at least) in ...
