Re: Next Announcement

Vicky just Tweeted to tune in to Planet Rock at 10am Monday for a double headline announcement. I'll wait until it is posted I think. Any volunteers to listen and post it on here then? You want them for a sub headliner really :P OOhhh now you're talking. King810 followed by Devin. Jasta from Hatebr...

Re: Next Announcement

Metaldays have announced a few more bands so hopefully a few more of them play BOA as well (Asphyx, Razor, Wolves In the Throne Room, Havok, Wormrot). Though Can see BOA going for the safe repeats or more hardcore type bands (Despised Icon, Testament, Napalm Death). Of course I was  You want th...

Re: Next Announcement

It could be King 810, coz the thought of them headlining scares the shit out of me. It could be Marylin Manson and Rob Zombie, as they are touring together in the US. It wouldn't be a particularly well rounded set of headliners though Oh god I hope not, Zombie's already played and wasn't amazing the...

Re: Next Announcement

Regarding LOA - I think its fair to mention the singer - I've seen them twice, once before the transition and once last year. (Trying to tiptoe around the whole PC thing on here but probably going to fall right into it) Does Mina sing like she used to per-transition or has she changed her style? Mo...

Re: Next Announcement

Final two headliners to be announced before Halloween according to Facebook A lot of European festivals have announced their headliners so going to be a case of picking which ones we get. Also, noticed At The Gates are doing Slaughter of the Souls anniversary shows next year, only played 2018 so th...

Re: Next Announcement

Final two headliners to be announced before Halloween according to Facebook At least I'll have a good chance of deciding on early bird tickets once all three have been announced I'd imagine it's Priest and Mercyful Fate. So how does that fit in with tours etc as that can dictate who can/can't be an...

Re: Next Announcement

I see Nergel's being a twat again and therefore getting Behemoth some more press, can see them going back up to headliner level. Not really a follower of these things, didn't realize this was a common occurrence for him. Be a bit weird to see them announced and bumped up following negative publicit...

Re: Next Announcement

On a related but separate point...how long is an acceptable amount of time to give a band/album before you decide it isn't for you? I think if you have listened to an album/artist at least four times and it still isn't working you could probably call it day, no? I realise that could be tricky thoug...

It's senses? PwD are not my thing at all but Scorpions were so dull at BOA; more power to you if you enjoyed them but they were the worst headliner I've seen at BOA.

Great start then if the names we have so far aren't even the big ones. Guess Jinjer will take the spot of the current hyped band like Power Trip/Alien Weaponry previously.

Re: Next Announcement

Most underwhelming announcement imaginable. Hopefully that's the non Metal headliner out of the way. But I have a nasty feeling they'll book that awful Volbeat band as well... https://www.loudersound.com/news/bloodstock-festival-announces-first-2020-headliner "I am putting together a very spec...

Re: Next Announcement

DEVIN TOWNSEND headlining. Jinjer and Gloryhammer also confirmed. It's a bit underwhelming, isn't it ? nothing to really froth about, nothing to really jump and spend money about ? Devin!!! *froths at mouth while jumping about*  I will be looking into my ticket soon, line up already lo...

Re: Next Announcement

Not seen them mentioned much for 2020 but Opeth have to be a strong shout for a SG slot as 2015 was their last appearance. True, got a European tour coming up so could be announced after that. Played DL last year as well which makes them unlikely to play again this year. Be a bit underwhelmed thoug...

Re: Next Announcement

I had a feeling Machine Head might be one but their Birmingham/London shows seem to put paid for that .. Devin is talking about festivals as the 2nd part of the Empath tour, with heavier/SYL material Priest I have a strong feeling about ! If not then KK/Ripper/Ellefson/Ross/Binks could be elsewhere...

Re: Manowar (!)

They had the opportunity to book them on numerous occasions, but failed. They would rather book drivel like Parkway Drive... I would take PD over Manowar any day for many reasons. Is it because they actually play their slot? :P Speaking of which, have they followed through and sued Hellfest y...
