Re: TV: Current and Recent

Watched the first 2 episodes of Jessica Jones on Netflix last night. Good stuff. David Tennant plays an absolute vile bastard in it. If you enjoyed Daredevil this seems like more of the same.

3rd episode in and I would like to re-iterate my love for Ash Vs Evil Dead. My love for this knows no bounds.

Re: TV: Current and Recent

The Walking Dead, after a run of 3 cracking episodes, took a stumble last night. It has a tendency to do this from time to time so hopefully it'll get back on track quickly! Ash Vs the Evil Dead is the best thing ever. Both episodes so far have been utterly fantastic and hilarious. Doctor Who - I ta...

Re: movies

I can barely remember one Bond film from another. They've all just melded into one gigantic mush in my mind.

Re: movies

Society Further proving the point that you never know what you're gonna get with 80s horrors, Society begins as a tale of a man feeling out of place in his hometown and suffering from supposed paranoia, and eventually develops into a very odd orgy and general craziness. 7.5/10 I haven't seen this s...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

First episode of Ash vs the Evil Dead was so incredibly groovy I felt like running up and down the street yelling excitedly. Waited 23 years for this and it's everything I hoped it would be...elements of the horror and gore of the first, the comedy of the second and the daft Ash from the third. Bloo...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

Alfred is played by Sean Pertwee (son of Doctor Who and Worzel Gummidge's Jon and famous for the rather excellent Dog Soldiers). I thought he was one of the best things in it!

Re: TV: Current and Recent

Hell's teeth, I thought Gotham was abysmal. The first episode was really promising but after that it went to complete shit. I gave up about 7 weeks in and the general perception seems I didn't miss anything.

Re: TV: Current and Recent

The third Fear the Walking Dead episode was much better. Some zombie action and stuff.

Re: TV: Current and Recent

Started watching Red Dwarf. Probably the only person on the planet not to have watched it by the way people go on about it. Oh well, to see what the hype is all about. From memory the first season wasn't very good. From S2 through to S6 it's consistently good though...probably showing it's age a li...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

It's arse. I've given up on it already. Don't like a single character on it, there's barely even a story, and the script appears to have been written by a 12 year old. I'm giving it another week. Hell, it's only 6 episodes so I'll probably stick with it either way. I'm a sucker for zombies (althoug...

First 2 episodes of Fear the Walking Dead have been slow going. Struggling to stay interested in it at the moment.

Re: movies

I appreciate Jupiter Ascending is in the list by default, but The Avengers? I get different people like different things, but that was almost unbearable and I am genuinely perplexed by anyone enjoying it. :P I loved Age of Ultron, enormous fun. To be honest I've enjoyed all of Marvel Studio's comic...
