Re: The Wrestling Thread

If we are realistic, Punk is 36, or will be for his first fight, he isn't an impressive physical specimin, hasn't trained MMA properly, and he is going into UFC where the best of the best go. Unless they give him a 0-5 hobo, he has very little chance of winning a fight. If they are fair, they will g...

Re: The Wrestling Thread

I'm not quick to dismiss it tbh. It's been more or less confirmed that as he's going in 0-0, he'll be starting off against guys who have a similar record instead of being chucked in at PPV level like Lesnar was. It'll be interesting to see how he does. Heyman will fly in with a fan to stop Punk tak...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

Amazon/Nintendo are at it again. Nintendo have always been like this, as anyone who tried to get Ocarina Of Time the Christmas it came out will remember. I pre-ordered Smash Bros for the Wii U bundled with the Gamecube Controller Adapter along with the Smash Bros themed Gamecube Controller they rele...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

I also agree with the Black Friday stuff. I don't want more American 'culture' in this country.

Boris is hilarious until you actually find out about his politics.

Re: The Wrestling Thread

Raw was ok, but that ending is probably the worst ending to any Television show I have ever seen. It closed on a computer going insane with beeping noises with Michael Cole trying not to burst out laughing. It's a fucking Wrestling show.

Am I supposed to care about a 55 year old man in facepaint?

Re: Trivial Grumblings

Not seen one for any (west) Midland city yet hahaha. Though for Coventry they'd struggle to find 46 different things - good or bad - they could talk about it. Wolverhampton is still one of the worst places in the world to live. Rest are not cities (not sure about Dudley, not been there since they p...

I read an article somewhere which summed it up quite well. It summed it up along the lines of they donate their precious time, and we regular plebs donate our money.

Re: What's upset you?

I'm in a similar boat at the moment. I'm on my second week of anti-depressants, so far it hasn't been too bad. But then last night it felt like everything kind of just drained away, there was no point to anything anymore. So on the bus on my way home I planned my way out, I figured I could quite ea...

Re: Computer Games Thread

Totally agreed there. Sam: I think if LA Noire had been any longer, it probably would have got a little meh - some of the mechanics can get a bit boring, but stuff like being able to skip the inconsequential driving sequences helped alleviate that quite a bit. But that plot kept me utterly hooked, ...

Re: Computer Games Thread

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I can live with 30fps absolutely fine. But when a framerate drops below that - as happens in a lot of AAA titles, just because there's so much fancy stuff going on all the time - I find it really off-putting. On a different note, finished LA Noire. That was a really great ...

Re: The Wrestling Thread

It's impossible in Ireland pretty much because there's only 4 promotions, though PWU and wrestling.ie do get 350-500 people per show so I imagine the top guys there are getting a fair amount. There's enough promotions in the UK that if you market yourself well and are willing to work every single F...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

Boyfriend is pretty difficult at the moment. We both work at the same place and his task at the moment is PAT testing, which means he gets paid slightly more, but I get more hours and have the opportunity to go out on shows too. I got offered a show yesterday and added to the cunty warehouse manage...
