Re: TV: Current and Recent

Breaking Bad won pretty much all the Emmys then. Fargo, True Detective, and American Horror Story picked up awards too. Game of Thrones got 19 nominations but only won two things - fuck and all. I'm pretty sad Peter Dinkalage didn't win anything. He was by far acting his arse off and did amazingly ...

Re: movies

The Raid 2 - I wasn't that into the first film as I saw Dredd first loved it and thought it couldn't beat it. The second is much more solid and goes into the characters themselves. The shots are great, the directing and writing is great and the acting is a great step up. 8/10

Re: TV: Current and Recent

Loving season 1 of Ray Donavon. Can't wait for season 2.

Loved the ending to Hannibal season 2 although I'm getting nervous. Good American tv shows don't last especially superb ones like Hannibal. I hope they get to do what they have planned over the 6/7 season plan.

Re: movies

I just have a feeling that they'll finish of the Iron Man story within one of the other films now & have him as a bit character in others. When RDJ leaves, people may lose interest. First sort of things beginning to circulate, all mostly guesswork & as always some fans just having a punt. B...

Fun little recap, now we await for all the Phase 3 conspiracies to flood the interweb

I'm expecting something Iron Man related to be mentioned as they haven't announced the phase 3 films yet and the IM4 rumours are going mad.

Guardians of the Galaxy - 10/10. The post credit was hilarious too. I can't wait to talk about it.

Re: TV: Current and Recent

Finished From Dusk Till Dawn and it was pretty good. I loved how they have thought out the mythologies and went into greater detail about Richie. I'm looking forward to season 2. I was the first episode of oitnb and I didn't think much of it. I'll give ep 2 a go but I don't think it's a show I'll go...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

So, I've finished my second run-through of Game of Thrones (this time with my Mum. Yes it was awkward in places), and we're now looking for something else to get stuck into. We have Under the Dome on DVD but I'm struggling to find any enthusiasm for it, as I gave up a few episodes in when it was fi...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

[quote="Darkweasel"Falling Skies is back and it can still fuck off. Not watching that shit ever again[/quote] Didn't you say that last time? I gave up around Ep 7 of season 1. I'm all for shows that and intelligent and require more talking instead of action but it was all just talking. The...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

There's going to be more than one season of Fargo? Odd, it must be a very long "true story". Either way, I thought this first season was excellent. Also Billy Bob Thornton with the silver hair looked so much like my father it genuinely creeps me out. Having not seen the last episode yet I...

Re: movies

Machete Kills - I really liked it. Dumb, violent action flick with the typical Rodriguez style and humour. I can see why some people disliked it as it focuses a lot more on the comedy side which is a shame as I'd have liked more b movie action like the first film. I loved the trailer for Machete Kil...

Re: movies

That's pretty much my conclusion too. I wanted to like it but there was just nothing positive to say (well the ED-209 was interesting). Lewis became a throw away character which is disgusting considering the positive version the original. The lead actor was so monotone it was difficult to tell when ...

Re: TV: Current and Recent

Penny Dreadful is alright so far. It seems to be finding its footing now after the rather boring second episode by going a bit more head on with episode 3. Hopefully the rest if the series is good especially as it's now got a second season.

Re: TV: Current and Recent

Now that it's summer I'm compiling a small list of tv shows to start/continue watching, which are as follows: House Of Cards Arrow (still need to see the latest season) Boardwalk Empire (again) Mad Men (again) Hannibal Anything else I'm missing? The League and Franklin & Bash. Fargo, True Detec...
