Re: What has made you happy today
I know I'm going to sound pretty pathetic saying this, but technically it did make me happy. We're a week into our hardest lockdown since the pandemic began: no visitors at all, no travelling more than 10km from home, plus all the other fun stuff. A friend who lives close by and I were discussing h...

Joey Jordison ex Slipknot. Remember seeing him filling in for Lars of Metallica at Download 2004.

Re: COVID SECURE FESTIVAL ENTRY
So - are these lateral flow tests accurate now? No they aren't and the problem is that people are using them now when they have symptoms instead of going to a testing unit like you're meant to. My mate works in a doctors surgery and says that people keep coming in with symptoms and saying they've t...

Re: Strategy Board Games
Probably too geeky for you cool kids but I totally recommend solo board gaming whilst listening to music. I can't just sit listening to music without doing something else so playing a solo game at the same time is perfect for me. Currently playing the games Aerion and marvel champions.

Re: Coronavirus
The government have stopped counting people who die 28 days after a positive test. So people that die on ventilators are no longer counted. Dodgy.

Re: Strategy Board Games
Gloomhaven is a brilliant one player game, expensive but well worth getting. There is a new smaller game being released soon Jaws of the Lion if you dont fancy playing 100 scenarios! The classic Twilight Imperium is a stunning game but you need at least four players with some experience to play it ...

Re: Strategy Board Games
Another good one is Betrayal at the House on the Hill. Starts as a co-op game and ends up being a 1 vs the rest. I own this game but will probably sell it. I find the second act to be a bit fiddly and not keen on reading rules each time I play. I would give it more of a chance but my wife doesn't l...

Yeah I've had Pandemic for years. It's a good game to get people into the hobby.
Horrified is supposed to be quite a simple game so I may get it to play with my son when he's older.
I've bought Spirit Island which is supposed to be the best co-op.

Re: Strategy Board Games
My parents are obsessed with Catan, always play it with them when I go to visit. I got them the Seafarers expansion pack a while ago, which makes the games much better. They also recently got Ticket To Ride which I've played with them and the grandkids, and it seems great fun. My dad is currently o...
