Re: movies

Enter The Void - Frustrating. At times it looks glorious, and certainly tries to do something new, and is like nothing I've ever seen. But it's at least an hour too long. I think after about 80mins or so it just looses it's focus which it only really regains in the last ten minutes or so. 3 fists, t...

Re: movies

So, Only Lovers Left Alive is a bit ace! Bollocks. Worst film I saw last year. edit: actually no, I saw the third Hobbit, but still..... Further edit: Granted it only came on around 11:50Pm, and I'd just sat though roughly 5 hours of Nymphomaniac and Q+A right before hand, so perhaps I was a little...

Re: Pokémon Bloodstock: Version 2

It's sure it's not. After you beat your dad I'm almost certain you don't get a choice, Wally just leads you back to Mauville City. And the first time you're asked, I thought it would be how they've done it in the past, walk together, battle together, heal after each battle, kind of jobby. Not just c...

Re: movies

Yeah, there a couple of walk outs when I saw it.

I think the trailer gives enough of an indication that it isn't a conventional film. I certainly got the whole 'in his imagination' actor having a bit of a breakdown vibe from it.

Re: Pokémon Bloodstock: Version 2

I also really dislike the whole 'come on let's go' aspect where you bypass a whole route you wanted to explore and end up in the next town. I think it's happened 3 times now.

Re: movies

I 'acquired' Pride today actually. I saw it when it was showing in the cinema and loved it. It's one that I think could be top 10, but at the moment I have like 6 films for my 8,9,10 slots. Out of interest, do you know which cut of Mood Indigo you saw? Or at least how long it was? I hadn't thought ...

Re: Pokémon Bloodstock: Version 2

Just got to that last night. Very weird and unrewarding subplot. I like to work, or feel a sense of accomplishment at getting a legendary.

Re: Pokémon Bloodstock: Version 2

in game or as an event?

I think since the change of how the EXP share works, it's become much easier in general.

Re: Pokémon Bloodstock: Version 2

How much younger than me are you? I thought there was only a year or so in it. I was very much of the Red and Blue generation, and then Gold and Silver after. That said I was 13 when Saphhire came out so I was still pretty young, and spent a lot of time with it. Don't get me wrong, it looks fantasti...

Re: Pokémon Bloodstock: Version 2

Unfortuanately Alpha Sapphire is just reminding me why I consider gen 3 to be my least favourite gen. Significantly better than the original, true, but I'm not getting near the enjoyment out them them that I've got out of every game (including the Ranger spin offs) that's come out since and before t...

I always preferred with battling cards to trading them. If someone wants to put together a battle meet, then I'm up for it :p
