Re: movies

Watched Cloverfield at the cinema and I really liked it. One of the few films that I think (genuinely) works better on a big screen and is worth the cost to see it that way. And I thought it was average at best, shit cast, annoying dickhead characters, some silly plot moments and it made me feel qu...

Yep, the only way it could have been more over the top would be if they came into the cinema at the end and shot some kids in front of you. Awesome.

I'm not sure whether this makes me sad in the long run, but I like the music, and perhaps it shows taste isn't completely dead. They aren't too b...

Finished 1984 the other day after it having been neglected for a couple of weeks in favour of the new Xbox, then quickly got Richard Hammond's autobiography out of the way (a rather unwanted Christmas present, worrying sometimes how little my parents know me... ), now reading Charlie Brooker's...

Recently read The Rules Of Attraction by Bret Easton Ellis, his book before American Psycho, really good read, another book with a really engaging style, although different (and less vomit worthy) than American Psycho.
I'm attempting to catch up with the classics now, reading 1984.

I've just finished watching 'The Hitchhickers Guide to the Galaxy' and my God it made me laugh. Watched a couple of films yesterday, Alpha Dog first off, which was, well, OK, then I'm Not There, the Bob Dylan biopic, which was way better, only really for fans due to its somewhat convoluted storytelling style but I thought it was pretty good. Then today I just watched Lions For Lambs which was ...

I've been on a reading spree as of late, in the past few weeks I've read; Masters Of Doom (story of ID Software, damn good story, nice easy read), Fatherland by Robert Harris (not a bad novel, didn't quite live up to some of its praise but good none the less), Charlie Brooker's Screen Burn (100% the...
