Re: movies
I know opinion is subjective and all, but.. No. Come on mate, you have to give me more of a reason for your disagreement than "no". Have you seen any other Tarrantino films? Also, C S Lee played two different characters in the film. I have, i've enjoyed a couple over the years (reservoir ...

Re: movies
I heard a little rumour(unsubstantiated) that the people who ran Shock Horror mag(see above posts) closed it down and ran off with the dosh.Any truth in this anyone(Applecore/Darkweasel/Ghost maybe?)

Re: movies
Finished all the Dirty Harry movies finally. The original is the only one worth watching really. I did enjoy Sudden Impact in a cheesy 80s way but none of the sequels have the class of the original. Silly Billy-they are all worth watching apart from Dead Pool, the problem is that as the first one is...

Re: movies
I haven't trusted an SFX review for at least ten years. The worst "reviewer" of all time was/is Dean Boor who used to work for Gorezone(U.K)-he used to give any old shit 5/5 presumably to get his name on the dvd cover.I think he works for some other mag or site now but can't be arsed to l...

Re: movies
It's probably the most unnecessarily violent film I've ever seen, I'll give it that. I dunno about that, the movie Seed probably owns that title for this scene which didn't really inform the story: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGOOTuKc52k I'm not clicking on that-i've seen Seed and i'm pretty sur...

It's probably the most unnecessarily violent film I've ever seen, I'll give it that. Mmmm-i somehow doubt that! Obviously I've watched a lot of a horror films over the years, but as over the top or ridiculous as the gore scenes became, they generally kept to the tone of the film. With slasher films...

Re: What pissed you off today
I'm more pissed off at the fact that because the two adults of the group are on one side, I'm gonna end up not getting much haha. The issue with me NOT doing it is, the gig money was planning to go to the China trip I'm going on, so we lose a % of the cut by me not being there...so I feel kinda gui...

Re: What pissed you off today
I totally get that...and btw I googled it, don't see how this is a "cringeworthy attitude to music". I do understand that more popular music will go down better, and that it's even easier to play, but country was what I had my heart set on. I couldn't sing anything (sober), and the countr...

Is "comping" entering loads and loads of free competitions then? That's not a bad prize if so.Straight on E-Bay?

Re: A free-for-all thread
It always weirds me out when people on this forum say they havnt heard of certain bands, bloodstock has never announced a band that I havnt heard of, and I didnt think I was THAT into metal. Lotta people saying they dont know who Flotsam and Jetsam are and have never listened to Down. :? I've been ...

Re: A free-for-all thread
I'm umming and arring about Bloodstock 2014 after just finding a local hotel for £80 for the 4 nights. Unsurprisingly, that's the non-refundable price. I dunno if I'll like the line up yet. Do you reckon it's worth a punt? Depends on loads of things. Can you afford to chuck £80 away if you decide to...

Re: movies
That does sound fishy (hurr..). I'm planning on watching that documentary anyway, so perhaps my opinion will be swayed upon seeing it. Disappointing to hear none said they left because of the mistreating, but again, perhaps those who have (because there has to be some, surely?) have kept shtum thro...

Re: movies
To be fair, it's not exactly uncommon for people to feel powerless against their employer. Especially when said employer is as wealthy as Seaworld. They were probably afraid to speak out before through fear of being sued. I've heard from fellow horror fans (some of them very reliable sources) that ...

Re: movies
Blackfish 9/10 Watched it yesterday-really good-although it seemed to be more a crusade against Seaworld than a doc.about the mental/physical health of the whales themselves. Like I said, it was very one sided, but what can you do when one side doesn't even bother to try and defend themselves? And ...
