Re: Next Announcement

Evil Scarecrow are a joke that got old a long time ago but they'll stick pack them in and are probably a cheap booking. Other than that, a great announcement, particularly Death Angel who are superb live.

Re: Next Announcement

Slayer were superb in Cardiff the other night, was hoping they'd be the final Bloodstock headliner but it now looks like that will definitely be the last time I see them :( Lamb of God went down really well, they bored the shit out of me personally but I wouldn't be surprised to see them booked. Dul...

Re: CODE ORANGE - SKELETONWITCH - ROTTING CHRIST & ELUVEITIE - CONFIRMED FOR BLOODSTOCK 2019

I'm quite fond of Gama Bomb too, they're not reinventing the wheel but have always found them good fun, both live and on record.

Re: Next Announcement

Code Orange are really bad but they're the only band on this line up I have no interest in at all. Everyone else I would at least be prepared to give a look, which is a pretty good hit rate. Of this announcement, Rotting Christ are a great band, despite their dodgy last album. I always think they s...

Re: Next Announcement

Hopefully it'll be another classic hard rock band plus two power metal acts. If for no other reason than to watch the Facebook page go into meltdown. BUT I THOUGHT BLOODSTOCK WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FOCKIN' BROOTAL!!!

Re: SCORPIONS CONFIRMED AS BLOODSTOCK 2019 SUNDAY HEADLINER

I'm not much of a fan personally but it's a great booking and should be a fun end to the weekend. Lots of angry people on the Facebook page though which is always amusing!

What's this? What's this?

I meant Ramblin' Man. Thought it was at Knebworth but I appear to be wrong! Either way, that's the place I can imagine them turning up if anywhere.

Re: BLOODSTOCK 2019 SUNDAY HEADLINER

Could do without Slayer again. LoG, KSE, Power Trip, Rammstein, Dimmu Borgir, Enslaved, Megadeth would all get me moving :) If we're talking headliners then Rammstein are too big and Dimmu, Enslaved and Power Trip are nowhere near big enough. LoG or KSE would massively disappoint me and Megadeth ha...

Re: BLOODSTOCK 2019 SUNDAY HEADLINER

Hmmm, I was sure Slayer would headline the Sunday night but I'd have thought they wouldn't be announced until after the UK dates. Although most of them are sold out anyway so it wouldn't affect ticket sales. I can't see it being Rainbow, they'd be more likely to play that classic rock thing they hav...

Re: BLOODSTOCK announce six bands as an early Halloween treat!

CoF's return to Bloodstock sounds awesome! As is always the case with me it is all down to the bands' setlists. And the rule of the thumb is I prefer earlier stuff whatever the band. For example when Vempire and Dusk... came out I couldn't get enough of them and CoF were absolutely and deservedly o...

Re: Next Announcement

Children of Bodom - really big fan of their first 4 albums but not so much the stuff after. Hit and miss live but a decent announcement. Cradle of Filth - one of my favourite bands and a rare long standing act that are making albums now as good as their early ones. Hope twats stay away. Hypocrisy - ...

Re: BLOODSTOCK announce six bands as an early Halloween treat!

It does look a very old school Bloodstock at the moment. Every band on the bill is quite melodic! I'm tempted to go at the moment, big fan of Sabaton and Cradle of Filth, Dee Snider will be entertaining and surely bung in some Twisted Sister tracks, Bodom, Soilwork and Hypocrisy are bands I've drift...

Re: Next Announcement

Sabaton sold out the Brixton Academy on their last UK visit if I recall correctly, on the back of a top 20 album. So yeah, they're still a thing here.

Re: Next Announcement

No - Ritz is considerably smaller. Academy 1 is 2600, they played there up to Heritage, then they were down to the 900 cap Academy 2, then on the last tour is was In the Ritz - I've been to sold out gigs there and you can't move, it wasn't like that when Opeth played last year. I've never been ther...
