Decent day. Helped a friend buy a car, they treated me to a bloody good lunch - probably to the point where I won't need to eat tonight!

The worst bit? They'll probably get away with it, too.

Washed, polished and waxed the car. Darkened all the plastics on the outside, hoovered and dusted the inside, and cleaned all the crap off the inside of the windows. It looks and smells great, despite how shit the paintwork is. I know it won't last, but that was a couple of hours working in the sun ...

Is this a grumble? I'm not sure. But today I went to our hazardous waste contractors for a site visit. They've got a contract with HMRC to destroy confiscated booze. Watching an entire pallet of Tyskie get shredded was... painful.

Spent the weekend in Glasgow watching the filming of the new Robot Wars. From what I've seen it's looking really, really good. Going to be well worth a watch later in the year.

General driving thoughts. Now I'm a regular commuter, I'm becoming rather good at economical driving. It's a constant game to keep the average MPG above 38. Serves me right for getting the unnecessarily big engine I guess.
