Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
So it's not just me then. But the fans seem to have this cockiness that wasn't there before, maybe it's just the newbies. Winning three trophies in forty odd years doesn't make them a great club. Especially when you've spent a large chunk of those years outside the topflight. What ...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
As much as Hart has been shit this season, why is no one blaming Nastasic? He fucking saw Hart and headed it over him, as bad as Pollock against QPR. Should have headed it wide FFS.

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
City were lucky, in that Everton could of got a draw out of that match. Absolutely deluded viewpoint, are you serious? I don't think they made it over the halfway line in the second half. Deluded? I don't think there is any reason for me to be deluded about that match. I hate Everton much mor...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
I always had the Lancashire derby down as Blackburn vs Bolton, with Burnley also occasionally contributing when they played either of those teams. Last time I checked, the Manchester derby was between the two Manchester teams, and the Manchester and Liverpool derby doesn't have a name. :P It's only...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
On another point, interesting how you refer to the 'Lancashire derby' surely this is Burnley/Blackburn or Preston/Blackpool. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lancashire_derby I'm still chuffed you beat them lot on Sunday. The only people who think that Burnley V Blackburn or Preston V Blackpool derbies...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
I guess that not being a local you don't really understand what local rivalries are all about. This is about beating our mortal and hated enemy. Ask a proper United fan and he will say the same. Citeh and Everton are nothing to either of us. The Lancashire Derby is the only game that matters. The w...

Fucking hell, The White Eagle, I know it well from holidaying in Angelsey. Never though there'd be metal fans in Trearddur.

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
I know if given the choice of having Falkirk win the Scottish Cup or the SPL in my lifetime, I would choose the Cup every time. I imagine most smaller team fans would be the same. Can't take this seriously, is this a wind up? It depends on the size of the club. I'd have it for Torquay as well. If t...

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
Spent more yesterday on that shit than a Bloodstock ticket and ale all weekend, so to say I'm pissed off wouldn't get close.
Well done Wigan you deserved it, but can't help feeling the Pelligrini rumours didn't help, that and most of the team not giving a flying fuck.
Anyway rant over, CTID.

Re: The (Un) Official Football thread
frankly i couldn't watch Argyle or anyone down this way on the TV and they'd never play the good teams. Not true, as a glory hunting Man City fan I remember going to Argyle in 87-88, 7 1/2 hours on the train and leading 2-0 at half time, 'At least we won't get beat' says my mate..... Which is why I...
