Re: IMPORTANT INFORMATION RE BBQ's

For the tent campsites this was the policy already, wasn't it? If not, I'm a gullible bastard for only using my trangia at BBQ pits all these years. :c

Re: Car park tickets

https://bloodstock.seetickets.com/event/bloodstock/catton-park/2013592#op3 Edit: incorrectly suggested flat rate for parking, it's actually £18.25 for weekend parking, or £12.25 for single day parking so long as you buy in advance . If you buy on the day, weekend parking will be £20, day parking wil...

Re: The Weather Thread

Accuweather and BBC now predicting 28-32℃. Might have to bring a sun hat. Do they make any with ram skulls? :eyes:

Re: Next announcement

Yeah, it's pretty standard for Bloodstock to wait until the last minute to post band times. The more cynical of us believe it's a ploy to sell more lanyards onsite, especially since the app is pretty much useless onsite due to Catton Hall apparently being a deadspot for phone signal. Here's hoping t...

Re: The Weather Thread

Accuweather and BBC are predicting between 22 and 25℃, which seems much more likely (and bearable!).

Hope they do this (for bloodstock at least). I need a new band (tiny kitten claws ruin mine on a regular basis these days), so that'd have me covered. Otherwise I'll be looking for a pink flower garland to wear on-site.

Re: Do I need to take cash?

Most places take card now, there was a big push last year (i.e. the first Bloodstock in the pandemic) to make it possible to forego cash, although last year the wifi they were using for the card machine payments was not fit for purpose and it ended up taking ~5m at some times for a card payment to g...

Re: General Info

Still getting the BGC, just from Edinburgh instead. Getting the 2am Ember bus to Edinburgh, which drops you off right where the BGC picks up from.

Re: General Info

No worries, happy to help. :) Didn't notice you were a fellow Dundonian! Aye, good to see more of us on the forum. There was about 10 of us who got the Big Green Coach from Dundee last year (sadly they're not putting that bus on again this year). Probably a few others who drive/get the train.

Re: General Info

Should be, might be busy though! Here's what Bloodstock recommend for taxis: Taxi info
And the taxi drop-off/pickup can be found on the site map, on the top right-hand side.

Going by previous years, running times are unlikely to be announced until the week of the festival.

Re: Monday and VIP

Not substantially. There's a dedicated "Luxury camping" area this year, but I dunno if that's so much a 'new' thing, rather than putting a label on something that already existed (I've never camped VIP so couldn't tell you).

No we don't.

This.

I'm hoping for somebody vaguely melodic or folky. Expectations are low though.
