Re: The Health 'n' Fitness Thread

Mustaine's conditition was probably this:

The tingling in my arm and hand has defintely improved after 3 1/2 weeks, but still noticable, especially in bed in certain positions and when I bend down to pick something up.

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

https://i.servimg.com/u/f45/19/71/28/23/didn_t10.jpg Labour's next leader should not whinge about Brexit, not say and do unpatriotic things and adopt a sensible immigration policy. Then they would win back a lot of seats at the next election, although I think the Cons will still have a working majo...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

There probably is more distortion of 'Corbynism' than against the Tories, especially all this 'Venezuela' stuff. But Labour don't help their own cause. If they limited their renationalisation programme to, say, water and prisons, scrapped plans to give back power to unions and matched the Tory immig...

Re: The Health 'n' Fitness Thread

I've been getting tingling in my left arm and hand when I move my head back. It looks like it could be a trapped nerve or slipped disk. I don't know whether to go to the doctor or not, because I just don't like doing. Anyone else had this? Yes - mainly in the first two fingers and thumb and occasio...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

I don't like any party's key policies enough to vote for any of them, but the Cons are the least worst . Labour are being too ambitious economically and they are borderline loony on defence and immigration. It's been pointed out that Labour have only ever been elected when they've moved to the cent...

Re: The UK political thread (formerly independence thread)

It's looking like 5 more years of a Conservative government, then 5 more after that if Labour insist on having a woman leader after Jeremy Corbyn. Why would having a female leader make a difference? I didn't mean that Labour couldn't have a good female leader in theory - just that the ones now bein...

That's Death metal...I was looking forward to seeing her all corpse painted up....never mind
It sounds more like black to me. Satyricon or something. The vocals at least.

Re: Use of Referendums

Referendums should, broadly speaking, (virtually) never be binding. Legally binding or not, it's virtually impossible for a government to press ahead with a policy when the majority has voted for something else. Cameron could have said "yeah, but it was only advisory - we'll stay in the EU&quo...

Re: Use of Referendums

You could make the same arguments about elections. Especially with the shitty system we have where tactical voting is actively encouraged. Yeah. If the public are trusted to choose between long and complex election manifestos then they should be trusted on virtually any referendum question. Many MP...

Re: Use of Referendums

I think you're asking the wrong question (which, ironically was the problem with the EU referendum). The issue is not what percentage or ratio is required for the result to be legally binding. The issue is the question needs to be properly framed and actually have had some forethought behind it. I ...
