Re: Trivial Grumblings

Nobody at work seems to be able to use the proper notation for litres. They always write LT, LTR or LTRS. IT'S DAMN WRONG I TELL YOU. This always irritates me. Almost as much as when someone tried to tell me "standard temperature" is 21C. No, STP is a very specific term. 25C, 1 Atmosphere...

Re: The Relationships Thread

I know, it just hit me hard to think that what was essentially 2 years (on and off due to a variety of reasons) could mean so little. That and going off of my average it will take 18 months before I find anyone either remotely interesting/interested  Only 18 months? You playa. As for regional ...

RE Scottish Accents

Nothing says "I love you" like punctuating a conversation with "Eh? I have no idea what you're saying."

Re: Trivial Grumblings

I would say no, then think no more of it. (Unless I actually felt like helping them out) Asking that might be ordinary if you're a cunt, sure. "Oh hey, I realise that you've spent years of your life, and thousands of your own money, to pursue this; and that people pay you a lot for your time b...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

Like I said, there is always the proviso of being allowed to decline. Expecting you to do so and not accepting your decision of no is when it turns dickish.

Re: Trivial Grumblings

Not really.
Pressing the issue and expecting you to do it for free is, just asking the question is perfectly ordinary.

Re: Trivial Grumblings

You need to stop placing money as the #1 value.
Asking you to show them how to play guitar or do tech for a play means they want you to show them how to play guitar or do tech for a play. There is no discussion of monetary value on it.

Re: Trivial Grumblings

friend of mine is putting on a play in London and keeps pestering me to do the tech for it, he says he can only pay me £150 for the run, the travel alone would cost well over that but apparently 'it'll be fun!' so I should just agree to do it  LOL That's actually pretty offensive of him. ...

Re: What has made you happy today

Season 1 was a bit boring, season 2 was much better. I have 1-3 on DVD, haven't watched 3 yet.
