Re: What made you Lol Today?

Finding out my sister got invited backstage at the Testament gig in London due to her uncanny ability to score at the right times. Sounds like her and the band had fun. Another gig I'll forever regret missing...

Re: What pissed you off today

In the process of getting a new guitar (Schecter Hellraiser C1). Was quoted a really good price on the phone by GAK - hopes up. Then told I would be phoned back after they contacted their supplier, whilst they let me reserve the guitar at the agreed price until it comes into stock. The next morning,...

Looks like you have a notebook though, don't expect too much.

Re: Computer Games Thread

So pretty much the first PC game I've bought and tried playing is Guild Wars 2 and i'm getting some technical issues... The screen is all pixelly and blue and flickers and stuff and areas are sucky at loading and there are jagged edges around other characters - my best attempt at describing it anywa...

Re: Computer Games Thread

Playing Call of Duty 2 on veteran difficulty. Man it's hard. I have done the first mission and half way through the second, but I keep dying :x :x :x I'm never going to finish it. The earlier Call of Duty's are much more difficult than the later ones. It just takes a bit of patience and perseveranc...

Re: I am *hic* drunk on the fuggin' internet

Head has been down the toilet twice this morning so far. Had a round of horrible paint-stripper-esque shots last night that have completely destroyed me... And I'm still feeling somewhat merry even now :)

Re: The Book thread

You certainly are in the right place. Here's a short list... Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson Sword of Truth series by Terry Brooks I quite like the Rachel Morgan series, but others my disagree and it's not 100% fantasy The Name Of The Wind by Patrick Rothfuss War of the Flowers by Tad William...

Re: The Book thread

Can anybody recommend me some decent fantasy books please? Finished a song of ice and fire and absolutely loved it and then moved on to trying to get through the wheel of time series by Jordan but i'm completely bored 3 books in so is there any other books out there that people think can rival ASOIAF?

Re: movies

Got persuaded into going to see the Avengers with some mates. Expectations were low, as the other Marvel films I have seen have been absolute tripe, but this was suprisingly good. Even on Orange wednesdays had to pay £8 though, for this new 'xtreme' thing the vue cinema near me is doing. I don't see...
