Re: What pissed you off today

The constant lack of sleep leaving me feeling braindead and completely unmotivated just gets to me more and more each day. Lose my train of thought constantly, especially when talking and struggle to barely string a sentence together half the time. That and going out in the garden this morning to si...

Re: A free-for-all thread

I'm trying to get back into writing a bit more, doing reviews, interviews, playlists and such. Used to write all the time, last 12 months it's only been very occasional, once or twice a month. Metal, ambient/drone, grind, shoegaze and noise for the most part. If anyone fancies a look it's https://sw...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

I told the tattooist i wanted it all in red, looked at my back when he'd finished and got this. Looks more like a leaf than a tree and its pretty cartoonish. https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-0/q84/p206x206/13076570_10208663987104657_3840198403598735237_n.jpg?oh=b08a21c7ca19df5a2b055a5d9f6...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

I'm from Slough but most of my family lives in Portland still. I noticed there's a megabus at 5:30 am from London but I think if I mentioned that to my mum there'd be two funerals that day.

Re: What has made you happy today

No significant clashes at Hellfest is a big bonus. Taake and Megadeth play at the same time but I've seen both before and there'll always be another opportunity, and there's only a slight overlap between Terrorizer and Within Tempation, and Sabbath with Enslaved. Napalm Death play same time as Twist...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

Not being able to see Dirkscheider or Incantation next week, and annoyed having failed over the last few days to sell the tickets. Got a funeral on Wednesday which is infinitely more important, but being down £40 sucks - my dad needs to shift his for Dirkschneider as well. Checked trains and there's...

Re: What has made you happy today

I'd completely forgotten I lent my friend 30 euros when we were at Netherlands Death fest, he paid me back yesterday. Will help with travel as my friend said I can stay with her in Southampton if I want to go down and see AVG there

Re: Trivial Grumblings

Last night after MDB I got to Slough at 23:50. First bus to Burnham was 00:41. The train to Burnham from Slough is about 6 minutes. I'll take not having Crosstrail, especially as it's going to take another 3-6 years. I'd have been home at just over an hour.

Re: What has made you happy today

I could never go to a festival on my tod, let alone an international one, unless I was to meet people there that I would be camping with. WMMHT: Interview Friday next week, except there's other jobs I want more. I did the travel portion of the hellfest roadtrip in 2014 alone, but met some friends t...

Re: What has made you happy today

Re: Trivial Grumblings

Yeah, it took me no longer when I lived down in Canterbury, but then that would be a high speed service I guess - and only one tube from most venues to St Pancras. The saving grace is most nights the last train from Paddington is at least as late as 23:49, only missed the last one thrice - and with ...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

Shouldn't knock living "near" London because of the amount of shows, but coming back takes ~2 hours and three tubes, a train, a bus and a 20 minute walk, and most of the time coming back on my own takes the piss when it's only 30 miles. Always ruined a good post-gig vibe by the time I get ...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

End of this and all of next week is our busiest and most stressful of the year, what with end of financial year and five people have called in sick - making it even busier. A bad flu is going around (not just at work, my brother hasn't got out of bed for 2 days), and I can feel myself getting sniffl...
