Re: Trivial Grumblings

Caught the plague going round the office. Was only a matter of time, the way people were coughing all over the kitchen and sneezing into their hands... :ugh:

Re: What's freaking you out?

Thanks guys, sounds like the recovery won't be too bad :) still freaked out by the idea of general anaesthetic. :ugh: Genuinely quite interested in the surgery, tbh. I've seen a couple of videos, wish I could actually watch. :D

Re: What's freaking you out?

Looks like I'm having my gallbladder out. Random pain for the last 2 years or so is just getting unbearable on a daily basis, went to the docs and they suspect gallstones. Ultrasound to come but this all seems like classic gallstones which probably means surgery. Bit weirded out by the idea of gener...

Re: A free-for-all thread

Anyone ever had a kidney infection before? Have a horrible feeling I might have one. Yes. It sucks so much. Get to a GP if you think it's definitely more than just a UTI (i.e. you're throwing up, got a fever, back pain that you can't massage away), leaving it can cause it to get pretty nasty. They'...

Re: The Health 'n' Fitness Thread

Biceps and glutes are looking more pumped since starting on the rowing machine. Hamstrings feel functional again. After a much-too-long fitness hiatus, various bits are starting to remember what work feels like.

Including introducing women only carriages on trains because Muslims don't like women and men being together. Yeah, that's definitely the reason. EDIT: Missed Gandalf's post through the creeping red mist. The very page you linked to lists SEVERAL non-Muslim countries that have used and S...

Re: Wacken ban bags, BOA seem to be considering it?

We're not living in Germany, we don't know the feeling of seeing your country hit by multiple attacks in one week. Maybe this is a very welcome announcement to the punters who just want to feel safe and have fun. To us it seems overkill, and like they're 'letting the terrorists win', but to them, I ...

Re: What has made you happy today

Happened to be near an M&S Food yesterday so I decided to buy some posh food* for the weekend. Two little bottles of bubbly, chocolates and Jarlsberg cheese. Got a weird look from the cashier who asked me if it was all just for that afternoon. :? * i.e. same as normal food but overpriced S...

Re: The Relationships Thread

You're not over-reacting at all. But be careful about public accusations. I feel like a kneejerk reaction in retrospect to try and punish him isn't the way to deal with these dickheads. It's absolutely wrong and shouldn't happen but ultimately a lot of men are just creeps and horrid. It's easy to sa...
