Re: A free-for-all thread

I couldn't get away with asking for money. Vouchers, perhaps.

Re: A free-for-all thread

Quieter here than I thought! Seems most of you have the right idea. I had a very generous one, only a coupla prezzies (incl. booze) but a bit of moolah from my grandmother which is nice of her. Mum's dinner was on point.

Re: What has made you happy today

Good point. Nonetheless I have pitched the idea of going with my dad to see it at the Vue in Farnborough that opened a coupla years ago, just so I can see what it's like in there. I dunno why it bothered me that the idea of having one in Farnborough was delayed for like 15 years, not like a cinema s...

Re: What's upset you?

Looks like Christmas is going to be a morose one due to illnesses and death so I really hope these long-standing friends are back in the region so I've got at least something to look forward to.

Re: What has made you happy today

I'm trying to see if anyone wants to go see it. Was gonna go with Jenkins and his missus but he messaged me on Tuesday suddenly realising he had a free window at midday but he didn't realise I was at work. Others have fancied the idea but I can see them not committing or making other plans to see it...

Re: A free-for-all thread

So I resorted to buying 5-HTP for the first time in ages yesterday, which since I last used them went from pill to capsule form. Had just one last night before bed and today I've just felt worse. Abdomen ain't too happy and feeling even grimmer and more lethargic.

Re: TV: Current and Recent

Man was South Park season 20 odd. I'm getting more "oh yeah, good satire I guess" and fewer actual belly laughs.

Re: Trivial Grumblings

I spend way too long thinking about and writing emails of the remotest importance and boom, there goes the evening. Also this ice-cold Zywiec isn't agreeing with my brain.

Re: What pissed you off today

I've only had 2 operations (or at least I only remember 2) under general anaesthetic. I remember how weird it was coming round from the latter when I was about 5/6. It's really not like waking up, it's kinda...sloppier, I guess? Then add on the specific nature of your op and how that's gonna affect ...

Re: Trivial Grumblings

Today fucking sucked. Got way too much shit wrong and it stressed me out and I was annoyed with myself for being visibly stressed, even though it's all okay at the end of the day and I'm in good standing, etc.

Looks like they never watched Heri's rejoinder to the accusation many months prior. People really are becoming caricatures.

Re: What made you Lol Today?

The threshold for 'nazi' right now is so low the list of 'members' has never been more diverse  That sort of all-or-nothing behaviour is a clear sign of emotional frailty or lacking power in one's life somewhere, so they derive power from moral oneupmanship. It's caught on in recent years becau...

Re: A free-for-all thread

Fretting over one or two mildly un-PC things I said at tonight's work do and I wasn't even drunk. I was also uncomfortable with the crammed seating, sitting all hunched up and looking kinda spaced out the whole time. Can't have left an a great impression. Just wanted to eat my food and go so as soon...
